Holiday Gift Idea | FUSEables Card Set

Good morning, We R fans! Jen McDermott here with a nifty gifty option using one of our new and fantastic tools—the Fuse!  I love to gift card sets; they are a great teacher gift, great for gift exchanges (my friends and I do a handmade gift exchange each year), hostess gift, or a gift to hold onto in case you need something last minute.

FUSEables Card Gift Set by Jen McDermott for We R Memory Keepers

We R makes a FABULOUS card kit using the Fuse and FUSEables paper and it is a FANTASTIC all-purpose set of cards that would work well as a gift for anyone on your list. I assembled the cards using the images on the back of the packaging as a guide.  I love the shaker windows with the pretty, colorful sequins!

Once I had assembled the cards , I grabbed some paper and a few embellishments.  I stacked the cards and envelopes and wrapped them with cardstock and tulle.

Then I added a tag (I LOVE that this tag says “It’s a Wonderful Life. That’s my FAVORITE Christmas movie!!) and clipped it on, and voila! A trendy, pretty, homemade gift ready to go!

Holiday Wreath Gift Idea + More

Hello, and happy Monday! We’re so glad you’re here! This week on the blog we’re focusing on handmade holiday gift ideas. So, get out your craft stash and get ready for a handmade holiday season! Jennie starts us off with this warm and fuzzy holiday wreath idea. So cute!

Hello!  Jennie McGarvey here and I’m so excited to share with you a simple gift idea people will love to receive and you’ll love to create!

The holidays can be a hectic time of year.  So, when you’re thinking of handmade gifts, you need something that is both stunning and simple.  There are a multitude of ideas, but I reached for one that would include my favorite We R Memory Keepers tool, the DIY Party Pom Pom Maker.  This tool creates the perfect pom poms.  It’s so easy to use and I just LOVE it!

I pulled out the tool, a yarn wrapped styrofoam wreath (seriously $1.00 in my favorite Dollar Spot.  You can pick one up at any craft store or use a pool noodle!) and two skeins of yarn.

Seriously!  It’s so so simple and the results are beautiful. For my wreath I created 12 medium white pom poms and 3 medium aqua pom poms.  I then used a hot glue gun to attach the poms to the bottom of the wreath.

I couldn’t stop there.  I mean, the wreath is one of my favorites — but I wanted to include a little something more. So, why not pull out the Wildflower Collection and create a set of handmade cards that your recipient can give throughout the year.

We can make sure to hit a variety of uses, like hello!

However, you always need a blank card — maybe to top a gift or just to send a handwritten note.

And don’t forget a thank you card!

Hopefully, this has helped you think of a simple yet wonderful gift to give!  The WeRMemoryKeepers tools are perfect for creating those.

Clearly Posh Layout

Hello, Samantha here with you. Today I have a Clearly Posh layout to share with you. I love using Clearly Posh in conjunction with other paper collections, but I’ve never used it all by itself. Today, I thought I’d share a layout that uses almost all Clearly Posh acetate and very little additional paper.

Clearly Posh Layout by Samantha Taylor for We R Memory Keepers

I’ve slowly been working my way through about 1000 photos that I want to scrap from our 10th anniversary trip to Ireland. I thought these 2 photos from Londonderry needed a special layout to stand out, and the great metallics in Clearly Posh fit that bill. One of the most fun ways to make these papers stand out is to layer them up. You can mix and match to create so many pretty combinations. I thought I’d share a few of them with you today, so you can see what I mean.

Clearly Posh Layout by Samantha Taylor 2

On the left is the Cheveron Dot in Gold on the right is the Stripe in Black. They combine to make a pretty dot/stripe pattern.

Clearly Posh Layout by Samantha Taylor 3

This is one of my favorite combos. Take the Stripe in Gold and lay it horizontally, then overlay it with the Stripe in Silver running vertically. So pretty!

Clearly Posh Layout by Samantha Taylor 4

You can overlay 2 of the same patterns as well. It makes for a really stunning paper. Here I used the Black Cheetah print and the Silver Cheetah print. It’s pretty with the Confetti Dot patterns, too.

Clearly Posh Layout by Samantha Taylor 5

For my layout I chose the Stripe in Silver and the Confetti Dot in Gold. Whichever pattern you layer on top will be the more dominant pattern, so I layered the gold dot on top of the silver stripe. I’ve found that the best adhesive to use on Clearly Posh is the Sticky Thumb Adhesive Dots. I hid them behind the photos and behind the polka dots. When the Adhesive Dots are a bit too big to be hidden (like on the Clearly Posh Ephemera), I use the Sticky Thumb Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue.

Clearly Posh Layout by Samantha Taylor 6

Since Clearly Posh is such a rich looking collection, you can get by with just a few well-placed clusters of embellishments. Add a title, and you have a Clearly Posh layout.

Using almost all Clearly Posh on a layout was a really fun exercise in creativity, and now I can’t wait to try out some more pattern combinations. What’s your favorite combo of Clearly Posh Acetate sheets?

Clearly Posh Gift Box

Hello WRMK fans! Carrie with you again. Just wanted to take time out the hustle and bustle of the holiday season to share with you a quick little gift box I made. I needed something for an ornament that I was giving for a gift so I thought I would make my own gift box. I used The WRMK DIY Party Cardstock Stack to create the box and the Clearly Posh line to make a cute little peek a boo window in the box.

Clearly Posh Gift Box by Carrie Walz for We R Memory Keepers

For the box portion of my project I chose to use the WRMK DIY Party Cardstock. There is this beautiful metallic silver heavy duty cardstock included in this stack that I knew as soon as I saw it that it would be perfect for what I was making. I cut it to the size I needed and then used my WRMK Evolution Advanced and ran my die through to create a little window in my box.

When it was finished it looked like this…

I chose a matching Clearly Posh sheet, cut it to fit inside my box and adhered it behind the window I cut out.

Once my box was assembled I need to decorate the outside. I wanted to create a bow also using the Clearly Posh along with my 1-2-3 Punch Board. I followed the steps and created a cute bow that I attached to the front of my box.

I really didn’t need to add too much to this project as the products I used pretty much spoke for themselves and I know these lines are going to be used quite a bit more come time to wrap all of gifts this holiday!

Products used:

WRMK Clearly Posh- Silver Stripe

WRMK Clearly Posh-Silver Chevon Dots

WRMK Clearly Posh Plastic Bows

WRMK DIY Party 12×12 Cardstock Pad

WRMK 1-2-3 Punch Board

Guest Designer Diane Payne

Hello everyone! My name is Diane Payne and I reside in Texas with my husband, Tim, and our two kids. In addition to being a wife and mom, I am a flight attendant, a scrapbooker, a fan of all crafty things and an avid scrapbooker. I love traveling, drinking coffee and hanging out with my family.

Blog  |  Facebook  |  Twitter  |  Instagram  |Pinterest

I have been scrapbooking since I’ve been married but really got into scrapbooking, as we know it today, when my kids were born. I love creating colorful, whimsical layouts with typed journaling and machine stitching.

Favorite WRMK Product: Magnetic Cutting Mat. It stays on my desk and is used for every single paper crafting project.

Favorite scrapbooking/paper craft tip: If you can have a dedicated craft space, place your tools, like your sewing machine and die cutters where they are easily accessible. This is a must for me…if it is difficult for me to get to I won’t use it.

Acetate is a fun and versatile element in paper crafting and I loved the combination of gold, silver and black acetate sheets in the Clearly Posh collection. It was perfect for creating a grid layout with pops of green and red that allowed my photo to really stand out!

When creating cards, 6×6 paper pads are perfect for smaller scale designs. On this card, I used the confetti transparency from the 6×6 paper pad and added some cut out circles from the same 12×12 design to create more dimension and visual interest to my card.

Envelope Advent Calendar

Happy Friday friends! It’s your blog hostess, Aly Dosdall, here to share my version of a Christmas Countdown using some new papers from the DIY Party Collection, and one of my most-used crafting tools, the Envelope Punch Board.

Envelope Advent Calendar by Aly Dosdall for We R Memory Keepers #envelopepunchboard #adventcalendar #christmascountdown #DIYholidays

This advent calendar was easy to make. I simply followed the instructions on the board to make 25 different sizes and shapes of envelopes using the DIY Party 12×12 Patterned Paper Pad. I have a certain amount of space to hang them above my fireplace, so I kept the envelopes to 3 1/2 inches wide or less. Then I cut some numbers with my Cameo using gold cardstock from the new DIY Party collection 12×12 Cardstock Pad. I hung my envelopes on green striped baker’s twine using mini wooden clothespins.

In our family we do an advent calendar each December for the 25 days leading up to Christmas. We do fun seasonal activities as a family all month long, so the purpose of our advent calendar is to help our family focus on what the Christmas holiday means to us.

Envelope Advent Calendar by Aly Dosdall for We R Memory Keepers #envelopepunchboard #adventcalendar #christmascountdown #DIYholidays

Each envelope is filled with a slip of paper that contains an advent scripture verse, an inspirational Christmas quote, or the title of an inspirational video to watch. We gather as a family each night and take turns pulling out the paper from that day’s envelope. We do our advent reading (or watch our video) with all the lights off except the Christmas tree, and then each of the kids gets to pick a small treat from our advent treat basket.

This has become one of our favorite Christmas activities! Our whole family looks forward to it each year.
