Eating: Too much delicious cheese. I love that I don’t have to have an excuse during the holidays to eat a snippet of tasty Brie on a cracker!
Listening to: Trndsttr (Lucien Remix) by Black Coast is currently on repeat!
Reading: I look forward to the day when I can read a book uninterrupted! For now, I try to keep up with a bit of daily inspiration in the form of Sonia Choquette.
Watching: We recently signed up with Netflix (which is still quite a new service in Australia.)
Loving: …the fact that my Husband is on leave for a few days longer than most this year, which means we might enjoy a family getaway without the crazy crowds.
Creating: A big mess! January always inspires me to clear out unnecessary stuff that has accumulated over the previous year.
Looking forward to: A year of possibilities!

Favorite We R tool or paper collection: I had a huge crush on Inked Rose and Love Notes. I absolutely love my envelope punch board. I love it even more when I show people how to use it and their eyes widen in amazement! Such a clever tool.

Favorite crafting tip: Try to shoot your projects in the best possible light. It really makes the world of difference. You don’t even need to have a fancy DSLR. Most phones have decent cameras these days and there are a variety of quality photography apps available to help you crop and edit your pics

Kimberly Crawford WRMK 2015

Hi! My name is Kimberly Crawford and I live in eastern Iowa with my husband of 16 years. However, I will always be a Minnesota girl at heart. We have a 10 year old son who is a competitive swimmer, which keeps us very busy. I started paper crafting in 1999 while working on our wedding invitations. My husband suggested “this stamping thing” his mom did and the rest is history. I never let him forget it. When I am not paper crafting, I am helping the swim team, playing the piano, golfing, and occasionally getting the chance to read a good book.

My name is Amanda Coleman and I am a lover of paper and all types of crafts.  I am also a wife to Rob and mom to two kids, ages 9 and 11.  When I am not busy helping tend to my family and our small Idaho farm (goats and chickens included), I can either be found in my craft room getting all gluey and glittery, or taking a nap.   I started making cards in 2010 shortly after I discovered patterned paper at my local craft store.  I also love making 3D and altered paper crafts.  I am delighted to be part of the We R Memory Keepers design team

Crush Valentine’s Party Banner + A Giveaway!

Good morning, We R fans! Jen McDermott here, sharing a fun party decor project to help you celebrate Valentine’s Day! I LOVE banners, and how fun they are to put together, and just how much they dress up a party theme. I also love how easy We R makes it to put banners together easily, using the Banner Punch Board.

Crush Party Banner by Jen McDermott1

I grabbed the Crush collection, my banner punch board, and got to work! First, I cut one of the 12×12 sheets of Crush cardstock into 6 4×6 rectangles, then centered them on my punch board to slice out the notch.  Then, using some pretty embellishments, the Crush Ephemera pack and some American Crafts Sticky thumb foam adhesive circles, I started layering all my bits and bobs. Here’s a closer look at a few of the banner pieces:

I just love how the Ephemera shapes and words blend so well together, and the foam adhesives add an extra bit of dimension!

I strung all of the pieces together using some pretty cream tulle and tied some cute bows on the ends.  How cute would this be to decorate a dessert table at a Valentine’s party?!

And there you have it! A fun, lovey-dovey banner to spruce up your Valentine’s festivities.  How do you plan on decorating this Valentine’s day season? Let us know on our facebook page, and share some pictures of your creations with us!

Valentine’s Day Treat Packaging

Hello!  Jennie McGarvey here and I’m so excited to share with you a fun packaging idea I created using the new Crush collection.

I knew that my son would like to share treats with his classmates for Valentine’s Day.  I balanced making a little something for the kids that was both cute and completely functional. I broke out Hearts Aglow paper and the 12×12 Stickers along with the Gift Bag Punch Board to create the fun little gift bags and accompanying card.

The Punch Board makes the Crush collection extra festive as gift packaging for anyone — kids and adults alike!

Crush Layout

Hello, Samantha here to share a layout with the beautiful new Crush collection. I’m also going to show you one way I deal with scrapping a photo that’s not too pretty as part of this Crush layout.

Crush Layout by Samantha Taylor 1

Crush is equal parts elegant and fun. It’s a bit whimsical without being too cutesy. It’s such a fun mix that I knew I couldn’t leave it for scrapping just Valentine’s Day. Every year on our anniversary, my husband and I take a photo together doing whatever it is we decide to do to celebrate. I scrap the photo every year and they live in an album all their own (I love the idea of being able to look through this album after 20, 30, 50 years of marriage!). I figured crush would be perfect for scrapping our most recent anniversary picture. This year we kept it pretty low key. We went out to eat, saw a movie, and then hung out at home. We took a selfie in the movie theater, and I wanted to make it part of the layout, but it’s a really terrible photo! I figured out a solution for my problem using the Photo Sleeve Fuse.

Crush Layout by Samantha Taylor 2

I used my Fuse and a FUSEables Clear Sheet to create a pocket on the outside of the layout for the photo I liked better. I find the 12” Fuse Ruler especially helpful for creating nice straight lines with the Fuse.

Crush Layout by Samantha Taylor 3

Then, I attached the photo that’s not my favorite (that I wanted hidden) directly on the layout, underneath the fuse pocket. When the layout is in the album, you see the main, nicer photo. However, if I want to see the other photo, I can just slide the top photo out of the pocket.

Crush Layout by Samantha Taylor 4

Once I had the photos laid out where I wanted them, I added some of the fun Crush Ephemera and Accent Stickers. The gold Attraction Thickers from the collection are some of my favorite Thickers. They’re shiny and a bit stylized, so they really pop on a layout.

Crush Layout by Samantha Taylor 5

As you can see from this Crush layout, Crush is a great collection for scrapping not just Valentine’s Day, but other loving moments, too. How do you plan on using Crush?

Crush Valentine Card Set

Happy Monday We R fans, and Happy 2016! We’re starting off the new year with a week dedicated to our beautiful new collection, Crush. As you’ll see this line is perfect for love-themed projects of all kinds, but it’s also versatile enough for everyday project as well. We hope you enjoy some Crush inspiration this week!

Hello WRMK fans, Carrie here! I hope your holidays were just as wonderful as mine were. Now that things are starting to wind down, I thought I would get a head start on some Valentine projects, and truth be told, I could not wait to dive into these wonderful Crush goodies! I was having so much fun with this line I did not want to stop. I decided I would share with you 3 cards today.

Crush Valentine card set by Carrie Walz

Here is a close-up of some of the detail on these cards…

Crush Valentine Card Set by Carrie Walz

For the first card I created my card base, matted some Crush patterned paper to build the background. I used an accenting pattern and ran it through my Evolution Advanced to cut a heart and decorated it with the Crush Accent stickers and Crush Ephemera Die cuts.

For my second card I used the negative space from the die cut I made and some scraps from the first card (I didn’t want to waste any of this). Again added some accent stickers and die cuts…

For my third card I again made my base, layered it with some cardstock and patterned paper. I used my Evolution Advanced on this one only this time I used the Embossing Strips. It is so easy to change things up with the Evolution Advanced simply by adjusting the dial on the side of the machine. I ran it through using the DIY Party Cardstock, added a few Ephemera Die cuts and I had another wonderful card.

Since I created the card bases I needed envelopes to fit the cards. Thank goodness WR has the solution for that! I whipped out my Envelope Punch Board and within minutes I had matching envelopes for my cards.
