Gate Fold Valentine

Hey there, We R Memory Keepers friends and fans, Becki here, to share with you a card that I created using the brand new 3 Way Corner Punch. I had so much fun creating this gate fold Valentine.

The trim and score board is perfect for card making because you can cut and score with the same tool! No more switching tools to score. The card base for this card is 4” x 8” cut from white cardstock. After cutting the card base, I scored it at the 2” mark and the 6” mark to create the gates on the front of the card. After folding the gates into the center of the card, I rounded each of the 4 corners (with the gates folded closed) with the 10mm corner rounder. The 3 way corner punch punched through the folded cardstock perfectly.

After I had the card base create, I cut patterned paper to go on all the panels of the card. The patterned papers that go on the gates are slightly smaller than 2”x 4” and the inside panel is slightly smaller than 4” square. I used the 3 way corner rounder to round the corners of the patterned paper too. I love that the corners have the exact same radius.

When all the patterned papers were adhered to the card base, it was time for embellishments and a sentiment. I made sure that all the embellishments were adhered well so that when I send the card in the mail, they will stay securely in place. Above the “lots” portion of the sentiment I added a small piece of white cardstock so that I can add a small handwritten message with the card. I rounded the corners of the white cardstock with the 7mm corner rounder. The 10mm was perfect for the outside corners of the card but a little too round for the small piece of cardstock. I loved not having to find another tool to change the radius of the corner.

I love how this cute little card turned out and I love the ease of creating the card with just two tools. Thank you for stopping by the We R Memory Keepers blog. I’ll see you again soon!
