Hello WeR fans and welcome back to the blog today! Chantalle with you again, with some ideas on how to make a simple gift tag a bit more exciting, thanks to some of my fave WRMK tools!

These tags can serve as embellishments, card and tag combined on your next gift! They are a snip to put together and will add a personal touch to giftwrap.

My gift box has a sleeved pull out tag. I started out with a strip of gorgeous shooting star paper from my Dear Lizzy Star Gazer 6×6 Pad. I made the tag about 2×3 inches. I’ve left the little perforated strip at the top because the print was super cute and I think it added a nice bit of contrast.

I then used my new (and so very clever!) 3-Way Corner Punch to round the edges. This tool allows you to round corners at 4, 7 & 10mm angles. Three tools in one and butter-soft to punch!

My sleeve consists of a sheet of blush pink vellum from a DIY Party Vellum Pad. Eyeballing it, I trimmed a piece, folded sit over and machine stitched it shut. TIP: If you accidentally sew your pocket a bit too small, simply trim off a bit of the tag and re-round the corners.

I used a 1-inch circle punch to punch a semi circle shape at the top of the sleeve, so it would make it easier to grab the tag inside. Simply slide your paper in to the point of it being half way across the circle punch, if that makes sense!

I popped a teeny pre-cut tag shape from a pack of Crate Paper Good Vibes Ephemera on top of my tag and punched a little hole in them both, using my Crop a Dile. I adhered a little speech bubble shape from the ephemera pack on top of the bottom tag. It is lined so it’s perfect for writing a note. The two tags have been tied together with some checkered ribbon and embellished with a gorgeous little flower from a pack of Pink Paislee Wild Child Puffy Stickers.

My other tag does a fantastic job of multitasking! It serves as a simple gift wrap as well as containing a card. You could also use this area to enclose a gift card or voucher.

This type of ‘neck talker’ is a favourite of mine for gifting. It is a great way to use up a longer length of scrap paper. This one uses a strip of stunning Crate Paper Good Vibes ‘All Good’, about 4 inches across and about 10 inches long. You can adjust the length, depending on how deep you want your pocket or how much of the bottle you wish to cover.

I folded the bottom 6 inches or so over, and machine stitched shut. Before I sewed it closed however, I used my Circle Clear Cut Punch to pop a circle in two spots: One on the bottom section of where I was folding over, to reveal a little cut out area and the second one, at the top half of my talker, so it can hang over the bottle.

If you have a look at the photos below, you can see I punched my first circle, folded the paper over and sewed it shut, then folded another bit near the top of the strip and punched another circle for the opening to go over the bottle.

The edges of the talker were again, rounded with the 3-Way Corner Rounder.

This ethnic tag from the Good Vibes Ephemera Pack was the inspiration for the embellished bottle neck. I’ve used some beautiful Amy Tangerine Washi Tapes and run them around the bottle neck, coming to a ‘V’ shape at the back. I also used some sequins which I adhered using a low temp glue gun. I CANNOT wait to try out the new USB Powered range of tools debuted at Creativation a few weeks ago!!

I’ve used lots of ribbons and twines on bottle necks before, but never washi tape. I just love the effect and will definitely be using it again!
