Hey there We’R fans, Nancy here with a closer look at the 3-Way Corner Punch and all the ways it can be used to create custom embellishments. At first glance a simple corner punch seems great for one thing – rounding corners! Let’s put it to use creating a background of beautiful pattern.

Start by cutting 1-½” squares in a variety of colors. Next, use the 3-Way Corner Punch to snip two opposite corners of each square with the 10mm slot. This very simple technique creates a beautiful shape that is tapered at two corners and perfect for creating a background.

Start at the bottom of the layout and create a pattern that runs diagonally across the page. Start with a darker color and then use one shade at time until you fill up most of the space. Snip the ends when the pattern runs off the edge of the page.

The interlocking pattern is very easy to create. Choosing a complementary palette of colors is key. This was created with a patterned paper that had bold strips of solid colors running across it. The patterned paper did all the work of combining perfect colors!
