Mother’s Day Card

Hello We R fans! Kimberly here with a special Mother’s Day card. There is nothing better than making our moms feel special, especially with a handmade card! But what is even better is when some great tools from We R Memory Keepers and a cute paper pad from DCWV make it quick and easy. Because, let’s face it, we need some time for ourselves on Mother’s Day too!

This card started with the Paper Party Stack from DCWV. This pad is full of great patterned papers, but also a fun bonus…

…pre-cut pieces that create rolled flowers! When I saw these rolled flowers, I knew they would make the perfect “O” in mom. What a huge wow factor!

To begin, I cut my patterned paper for my card layers with the We R Memory Keepers Trim & Score Board. This 12×12 trimmer folds up, so it sits on your work space easily. Plus, when making a card, I can choose to score and create a clean fold on my card stock.

To create the two ms for mom, I used the We R Memory Keepers Mini Alphabet Punch Board. The letter m can be made two different ways, both are shown in the book that comes with the board. I chose the one-piece method, due to the patterned in the paper I had chosen.

To give some extra depth to the card, and to make the word mom really stand out, I applied the letters to the card with foam adhesive.
