Hello, We R friends! Enza here, and today I’m sharing a fun project created with the Jumbo Pom Pom Maker. Every year my kids and I work on simple handmade gifts to give to family and friends during the holidays. We try to come up with ideas that don’t require much work and can be easily mass-produced. The Jumbo Pom Pom Maker is perfect for all kinds of gifts, from home décor pieces, such as wreaths, garlands, even cute, fluffy rugs, to more personal ones, like key chains, pom pom hats, or as in this case, scarves.
Here is a look at the finished project:
We picked traditional Christmas colors for this one, but non-traditional ones would be beautiful as well. Think of a pink/light green combination, or white/gold; you can even embellish it a bit more with colorful beads. The possibilities are endelss!
To start, we wrapped the yarn around both ends of the loom three times – the thicker the layers the fuller the pom poms.
Then we closed the wrapped arms and cut the yarn in between them. Make sure you go all the way around. The instructions that come with the tool are very easy to follow 🙂
To keep the pom poms from coming apart, you will need to thread a piece of yarn through the arms and tie it firmly. The yarn tends to loosen up a bit, but not enough to cause the pom pom to come apart.
Once all the pom poms were ready, we tied them together with the leftover yarn. We simply passed one end through the middle portion and secured it with a double knot.
The finished scarf is so fluffy and soft, we love how it turned out! It would be perfect for a Christmas photo shoot!
Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you’ll feel inspired to use your Jumbo Pom Pom Maker for some fun holiday scarves!
