Precision Press Advanced Valentine’s Day Card

Hello We R Fans! Kimberly here with a card-saving tip for you with the We R Memory Keepers Precision Press Advanced! I will be the first to admit that I have issues lining stamps and dies up, often ruining my die-cut piece, or even my whole card. Not good! Keep reading to find out how to never ruin a card again!

Valentine's Day Card with the We R Memory Keepers Precision Press Advanced by Kimberly Crawford

I die cut a heart image from Pebbles patterned paper and knew that I wanted to stamp the “love you” sentiment from Vicki Boutin in the center. To make sure everything lined up perfectly, I placed the heart on my Precision Press Advanced base, securing it with the magnets included with the tool. Then I lined up the stamp image exactly where I wanted it on the heart. (Make sure to do this with the stamping portion of the image face down. So you can read the words.)

We R Memory Keepers Precision Press Advanced

Place the clear plate over the top and push down. This will pick up the image and affix it to the platform. Now, when you go back after your image has been inked, the pegs on the base will assist you with perfect placement. Every.single.time!

The best part about this perfect alignment also helps fix inking mistakes! I did not get enough ink on a part of my image, but no worries, because I added the ink and re-stamped! And you cannot tell! Whew!

I added a few more hearts to my Valentine’s Day card. They needed a little more detail, and I immediately thought of the Stitch Happy Pen! How cute is that stitching detail on the middle of the hearts?

Follow the instructions you can find in the Stitch Happy Pen box to properly thread it and use the long needle. When this step is done, just pierce the paper and let the magic happen!

You can use the stencils to create more shapes and words. For this card, I used the flower one, I love the dimension it gives to a simple white card! The title “GOALS” is made with the Word Punch Board and some washi tape. The Journal Guide helped me creating the tabs for the journaling.

The Fuse Tool is one of my favorite tool and I can’t make a pocket page without it! I divided the yellow paper in 2 parts and sealed some sequins in the other part of the pocket.

For the last card, I only played with diecuts and stickers. This color combo really makes me happy!

Valentine’s Day Cards with the Stitch Happy Pen

Hello everyone! Enza here, and today I’m bringing you a set of cards created with the new, super fun Stitch Happy Pen.

Valentine's Day Cards with the Stitch Happy Pen by Enza Gudor for We R Memory Keepers

I have always loved hand-stitching, especially on paper; I think it adds a lovely texture and accentuates the handmade feel of your projects. I usually use a cut file as my template, or draw my own design and then pierce the holes to make it easier to stitch. With the Stitch Happy Pen Kit, you have everything you need – you get a punch needle, a magnetic frame, threaders, and six stencils to create cute embroidery designs.

Since Valentine’s Day is fast approaching, I thought I would make a couple of cards using two of the stencils included in the kit. I started with the “love” sentiment. Normally, you would just mark the holes with a pencil first and then place the paper in the magnetic frame; but I found out that positioning both paper and stencil in the frame and then lightly piercing the holes before removing the stencil and starting to stitch made things a bit easier – the stencil stayed in place thanks to the magnetic frame, and the fact I had already pierced the paper required less pressure with the punch needle, avoiding any unwanted marks or creases.

valentinesdaycards_stitchhappypen_enzagudor2valentinesdaycards_stitchhappypen_enzagudor3valentinesdaycards_stitchhappypen_enzagudor4valentinesdaycards_stitchhappypen_enzagudor5

I used the beautiful La La Love collection by Crate Paper for both cards.

Valentine's Day Cards with the Stitch Happy Pen by Enza Gudor for We R Memory Keepers

The hand-stitched “love” sentiment is the focal point on the first card, and all the other elements just complement it by bringing in more color and texture.

For the second card, I used the flower stencil.

I used Bazzill embossed cardstock as my base. Once I finished the design, I simply backed it with more colorful patterned paper and washi tape.

I love how these cards turned out. The embroidery designs add such a beautiful touch, and with the Stitch Happy Pen it’s easier than ever.

Craft Room Storage Tips with Laura

Hey there, We R friends, Laura here today. I am sharing some storage and organization tips for you today to get all your favorite We R supplies organized. I have lots of We R Memory Keepers supplies, and I like to keep them all together so when I am ready to work on a project, I have everything I need.

First up, I wanted to share with you some of the new storage bottles that were recently released. They come in lots of different shapes and sizes in both plastic and glass. The small screw stack jars are perfect for storing eyelets.

We R Memory Keepers Storage Bottles, Crop-A-Dile and Eyelets by Laura Silva

The snap lid jars keep my small planner supplies within easy reach and organized.

There are also shaker jars and vials. These are perfect for storing loose glitter that you purchase. It is also great to have a shaker jar rather than one with a screw on top to make it easier to apply the right amount of glitter right where you need it on your project.

I shared a quick look at my craft cart in my design team introduction. You can purchase these three-tiered carts just about anywhere now! They are wonderful because they have a lot of vertical space and you can roll them to wherever you want to craft. Which for me, is usually my kitchen table.

On the top shelf, I have a bunch of punch boards, my precision press, and a tote that carries all my hand tools. The basket keeps the punch boards from falling over and the tote is easy to remove from the cart and place wherever I want to craft.

Punch Board Storage Tips by Laura Silva for We R Memory Keepers

On the second shelf, I have one of my favorite We R tools, the word punch board, letter punches, and number punches.

Punch Board Storage Tips by Laura Silva for We R Memory Keepers

At first, I kept all the letters clicked together, but since I use this tool so much, I found having them loose in a container works best for me. I have them separated in 3 containers – letters A – M, letters N – Z, and then all the numbers.

Punch Board Storage Tips by Laura Silva for We R Memory Keepers

I also have my circle trimmer and Happy Jig on this shelf as well. I used another one of the totes to corral all the happy jig wires.

Craft Room Storage Tips by Laura Silva for We R Memory Keepers

On the bottom I have a basket for all my alphabet punch board supplies, plus some addition punch boards tucked in next to the basket.

Craft Room Storage Tips by Laura Silva for We R Memory Keepers

Again, I like to keep all my supplies together if I can. In the basket I have the alphabet punch board, mini alphabet punch board, alphabet punch board papers, and the font punches that go with them. I keep the instruction books right in the basket, so I never have to search for them.

Craft Supply Storage Tips with Rebecca

Hello!  It’s Rebecca with you today for my first official WRMK post of 2019!  Like many of you, I’m guessing, I’m diving head first into reorganizing my house for a fresh start.  I’ve left a trail of unfinished (and some not even started!) projects behind me as I transition from the holidays into the new year, the contents of which were scattered around the house in shoeboxes, brown paper bags, and plastic bins.  I was more than thrilled to receive a couple of WRMK’s new Bloom Pouches, which made storing some of these project materials incredibly convenient.

We R Memory Keepers Bloom Storage Pouch by Rebecca Luminarias

I definitely found myself wanting to do more DIY projects as 2018 drew to a close.  This was thanks in part to the holiday decorating fever I get every year, but also thanks to acquiring a few new WRMK tools that make DIY easy and fun.  One of those tools was the Jumbo Pom Pom Maker.  Around mid-November I decided to a start a pom pom garland.  I got 3 pom poms in and had to put it aside as the holiday madness closed in.  Yet, I know this is something I still want to have for next year and I can work on it once things settle down, usually around mid-January.  This is where one of my lovely Bloom Pouches comes in.

We R Memory Keepers Bloom Storage Pouch by Rebecca Luminarias

I can store my skeins of yarn and the Jumbo Pom Pom Maker in the pouch!  The pouch opens up flat so I can see all of my supplies and grab them quickly.

We R Memory Keepers Bloom Storage Pouch by Rebecca LuminariasWe R Memory Keepers Bloom Storage Pouch by Rebecca Luminarias

Then it cinches closed and I can tuck my large fabric scissors under the closure flap for transport.  (I tend to need those scissors often, so I don’t want to close them up in the pouch.)  I can carry the pouch from the dining room table to the couch to the car.  It’s easy to bring this lot to the park, too, so I can work on the pom poms while my kids play.  When we’re done, or if we have to make a quick bathroom run, everything closes back up quickly and simply.

We R Memory Keepers Bloom Storage Pouch by Rebecca LuminariasWe R Memory Keepers Bloom Storage Pouch by Rebecca Luminarias

This won’t be a project I can work on every day so I also appreciate that the pouch closes up neatly and can be tucked away in a closet or in a basket until I’m ready to get back to it.

We R Memory Keepers Bloom Storage Pouch by Rebecca Luminarias

Another project I wanted to make but ran out of time for was a felt ball garland.  I bought all the felt balls to create it, with visions of quiet nights in front of the Christmas tree, a candle burning, a podcast playing…and then reality hit and there were almost ZERO quiet nights in December!

We R Memory Keepers Bloom Storage Pouch by Rebecca Luminarias

I decided that I’d still like to make a garland, but I’ll make it suitable for keeping up year-round.  This, too, will be a project to visit once life returns to normal, post-holiday.  It’s all stored conveniently in my pink Bloom Pouch, too!

We R Memory Keepers Bloom Storage Pouch by Rebecca Luminarias

This folds up and transports just as the other pouch does and I do plan for some quiet nights later this month.  With the felt balls, as well as the twine on which I’ll string them, all snug inside the pouch, I can take this to the living room or the park, as well.

We R Memory Keepers Bloom Storage Pouch by Rebecca Luminarias

I’ve utilized the small interior zipper pockets to store my needles and a pair of scissors.  It’s so handy, especially for the needles so they don’t get lost.

We R Memory Keepers Bloom Storage Pouch by Rebecca Luminarias

I have a feeling that this may not be an activity that I can finish in one sitting, but there’s plenty of room in the pouch for the work-in-progress garland, and that means I can keep this with my pom pom project pouch, both in a basket next to the couch to pull out when I have some free time.

We R Memory Keepers Bloom Storage Pouch by Rebecca Luminarias

If you can’t tell, I’m smitten with the Bloom Pouches!  I can see using them for all kinds of things, too, not just craft projects.  For now, though, they’re making my life a little bit easier and a lot more organized, corralling some fun projects I can’t wait to finish up.

Mini Evolution Cake Topper

Hi there friends! It’s Aly here sharing some exciting news and a fun project! Next week on the 24 hour crafting day on HSN (Jan 8, 2019) our Mini Evolution is making its US debut along with some really awesome accessories and storage. I’m sharing some of the amazing bundles that will be available along with a cute project I made.

Here’s a video tour of all the goodies available:

I used the “Love Grows Here’ Die/Emboss set with the coordinating layered stamps to create a DIY embellishment for this easy cake topper.

Mini Evolution Advanced Cake Topper by Aly Dosdall for We R Memory Keepers

Here’s how I made the cake topper:

1. Ink one side of the first stamp layer with the lightest color ink and stamp on the precut 3×5 inch white paper using the Mini Precision Press Advanced that comes with the Mini Evolution Kit.

step out 1

2. Ink the other side of the first stamp layer with another light or medium color ink (I used lime green) and stamp. Then ink the leaf side of the second stamp layer with the green ink and stamp.

step out 2

3. Select a sentiment stamp to insert into the second stamp layer. Use the darkest color ink on the second half of the second stamp layer, and stamp with the Mini Precision Press.

step out 3

4. Place the stamped paper into the die/emboss folder, matching up the image to the dies, place the folder between the Emboss Plate and the Base Plate and run through the Mini Evolution Advanced.

step out 4step out 5

5. Fold the two smaller flowers to add dimension to your DIY embellishment.

step out 6

6. Using the Square Punch Board, punch a 3×4 inch rectangle from dark blue cardstock and a 2 3/4 x 3 3/4 inch rectangle from medium blue paper. Adhere them together.

step out 7

7. Adhere the DIY embellishment to the blue background using foam squares for the smaller flowers. Add blue flower eyelets for hanging to the top two corners using the Crop-A-Dile.

step out 8

8. Thread some Stitch Happy thread through the eyelets and tie the ends to two paper straws. Insert the straws into the top of your cake and enjoy!

2019 We R Design Team: Meet Laura, Rebecca, Soraya, and Stefanie!

Happy Friday! Today we’re sharing some more info about the second half of our design team, Laura Silva, Rebecca Luminarias, Soraya Maes, and Stefanie Ried. Scroll down to read their bios and see some of their favorite projects, plus a craft room peek!

Laura Silva

Laura Silva for We R Memory Keepers

Hello, We R friends! My name is Laura and I am so excited to be back again for another year on the We R Memory Keepers design team. You can find me sharing craft tutorials, organizing tips, and free printables over on my blog, Laura’s Crafty Life.  I live in northern Arizona with my husband and two school age kids. I have loved crafting since I was a little girl. My other favorite things are reading, watching Hallmark movies, and getting outside in nature.

My favorite project I made for the We R blog is the garland punch mobile. I love anything with a rainbow pattern. It was so easy to make, too!

I recently have been reorganizing my craft room. I love using craft carts to corral all my supplies. I have one set up with just We R Memory Keepers supplies.

We R Storage by Laura Silva 1

I can store most of my punch boards, the Happy Jig, and my small tools. I used some small storage containers that fit perfectly in the cart to corral all the little bits and pieces.

Plus, I can roll it to wherever I am working, which I think is my favorite part!

Rebecca Luminarias

Rebecca Luminarias for We R Memory Keepers

I live in Southern California with my husband (Arvin) and 2 young children (Augustus & Anemone). My crafting obsession is gift wrap & tags; I love to create my own, but I also enjoy seeing how others turn a plain box into a work of art. I’m an introvert who craves quiet alone time, but I also enjoy being around close friends and my family. I have a vivid and very active imagination, which is a gift and a curse, inspiring both passionate creativity and relentless worry.  For the last 12 years, I’ve been pushing that imagination to focus more on the creative side, and it just might be working!  I’ve been on the We R team as of late 2018, and I’m looking forward to another exciting year with WRMK!
