Our Favorite Colors: Mixed Media Scrapbook Page

Hello We R Fans! Kimberly here with the new Precision Press Advanced. I bet you were expecting a stamped card from me, weren’t you? Surprise! It’s a layout! But guess what? Stamps and paints from Vicki Boutin in some of  my favorite colors were going to make a great layout, especially when paired with some great tools!

After painting lines on my mixed media paper, I placed it inside the Precision Press Advanced. The Press comes with two very strong magnets, which was great for holding my paper flat. I placed my stamp onto my project, exactly where I wanted it to be located. I placed clear, plastic grid piece of the Press on top, using the pegs as a guide. When I gently pushed down, the stamp clung to the plastic.

The stamp was covered in paint, using a foam brush. Then I placed the clear, plastic grid piece back on top. The image will stamp perfectly in place, because the peg guides line everything up. The absolute best part about this is, if I did not get enough paint (or ink if you were regularly stamping), I can add more and it will stamp precisely a second time. No missing. No double lines! Yay!

The clear, plastic grid piece of the Press can also be used individually. Making it a fantastic tool for scrapbookers! I wanted to stamp a small feather on the layout, including layer it over an edge of paper. I placed my stamp on the clear, plastic grid piece, added paint, and then stamped wherever I desired. The clear, plastic grid piece has these lovely foam feet that help make a solid impression.

We R Memory Keepers Word Punch Board

For some finishing touches, I grabbed a few more of my favorite We R Memory Keepers tools. Especially this brand-new tool, the Word Punch Board.

We R Memory Keepers Word Punch Board

After painting a piece of mixed media paper, I lined up and punched the words out for my title. Such a great look!

We R Memory Keepers Stylus Tool

I love the look of splatter on projects, but honestly, it completely freaks me out to create. I am always afraid I will ruin my project. I solved my fear with one of the We R Memory Keepers Embossing Stylus Tools. Simply dip the end in paint and apply to you project. Apply it to your project more than once before adding more paint and you can get various sized dots. Controlled and exactly where you want them.

Word Punch Board Layout

Hello everyone!  It’s Eva  on the blog today sharing colorful layout using the new Word Punch Board.

Word Punch Board Layout by Eva Pizarro for We R Memory Keepers

As soon as I saw the Word Punch Board I knew it would be one of my favorite tools, you can do so many things with it: make titles, journaling, tags and even use the punched letters to embellish a card or make a subtitle.

To create this layout I cut a few 5/8 inch strips of paper with my Trim and Score Board, I used some of my favorite Bazzill cardstock in coordinating colors.

Trim and Score Board by We R Memory Keepers

Next I placed all my elements of my layout in order to have an idea of how much journaling I could write on my strips of paper. I made marks with a pencil on all the edges of my strips.

Word Punch Board Layout by Eva Pizarro for We R Memory Keepers

I used my Word Punch Board to punch my journaling. Between words I left 3 small marks and I also added double sided tape to my strips before punching.

I used the punched letters to create a subtitle for my layout, the letters already had the double sided tape on the back so it was easy to place them using my Sticky Piercer.

To finish my layout, I embellished it with some die cuts and stickers from the My Bright Life Collection by Pebbles Inc. The strips were very colorful so I added only a few pops of color here and there.

The journaling strips turned out beautiful! Just like I imagined them! To add an extra touch back the strips with colored cardstock.

Travel Layout with the Happy Jig

Happy Independence Day to our US friends. We’ve got a little housekeeping to take care of today. We’re sad to say goodbye to team member Nancy Damiano, and we wish her the very best. Please welcome our new team member, Enza Gudor!

Hello, crafty friends! Enza here and I’m thrilled to share my very first post on the We R Memory Keepers blog! This is a dream come true for me. I have always loved the fun and versatile tools they come up with, and am looking forward to sharing more of my projects with you.

Today I have a travel layout featuring the amazing Happy Jig. This tool is a must-have! You can make any design or shape with it, and it sure gives your scrapbook pages a unique and fun look.

Travel Layout with the Happy Jig by Enza Gudor for We R Memory Keepers

I knew I wanted a big title for my page, so I started by creating my own custom words. I took inspiration from some of the letters in the instruction booklet that comes with the tool, as well as the We R Happy Jig Instagram account. Once you figure out how it works, it is pretty easy to make any shape you can think of. The wire is flexible and easy to work with, and all the different colors are perfect to personalize your projects. It’s also nice that you can vary the size of the letters, allowing for lots of options.

Happy Jig by We R Memory Keepers

I picked blue and pink wire for this page. I actually made the words before even choosing a collection to work with. I was that excited to use my new toy!

Travel Layout with the Happy Jig by Enza Gudor for We R Memory Keepers

To keep the words in place, I just hand-stitched them with embroidery thread. I have tried other options, but this worked best for me.

The other tool I used for this layout is the Tag Punch Board – another essential if you ask me. I love adding tags to my projects whenever I can, and this makes it super easy and fast.

Here I used the tags as layering elements behind my photos.

Create a Patriotic Layout with the Precision Press Advanced

Hello We R Fans! Kimberly here with a patriotic layout. Its no secret how much I love to stamp and with the new We R Memory Keepers Precision Press Advanced, I can stamp easily on my layouts! Yes!

Patriotic Scrapbook Page with the Precision Press Advanced by Kimberly Crawford

Because I did not have any specific supplies to the 4th of July, I got creative with what I had on hand. And in doing that, I created a layout I love! Just look at that custom star paper I was able to create!

Patriotic Scrapbook Page with the Precision Press Advanced by Kimberly Crawford

To make the custom paper, I cut a piece of Bazzill Blue cardstock to fit the top of my layout. I grabbed a star background stamp and white paint. I placed the cling stamp on my Precision Press Advanced. Notice how its only the top clear piece? You can use that piece separately! It has soft feet in all four corners allowing you to stamp just about anywhere. Paint was brushed onto my image and I stamped repeatedly across my blue cardstock. Vicki Boutin’s paints are perfect for this application as they dry quickly on paper.

Patriotic Scrapbook Page with the Precision Press Advanced by Kimberly Crawford

For the bottom of my layout, I created stripes from red cardstock using my Trim & Score Board.

Patriotic Scrapbook Page with the Precision Press Advanced by Kimberly Crawford

To help line my stripes up precisely, I used my Template Studio mat to help out. With help from the guides on the mat, I could space the stripes apart evenly and keep the lines straight. Which is good, because I not good at getting things to line up correctly. Ha!

Patriotic Scrapbook Page with the Precision Press Advanced by Kimberly Crawford

After adding a few die cut stars and other embellishments, I added a title using, you guessed it, stamps!

Patriotic Scrapbook Page with the Precision Press Advanced by Kimberly Crawford

Once again, I used the top piece of the Precision Press Advanced only. I placed my letter and number stamps directly on my layout (without inking). This way, I could line my stamps up on my project, exactly how I desired. Then I placed the Precision Press clear plate over the top, pushed down, and picked up my stamps. Then it was time to add ink and stamp for real. Oh, how easy this was! And I was not concerned about “messing it up” because I knew everything was aligned.

Mini Envelope Scrapbook Page

Hello everybody! Soraya here with you today to share a new layout using the adorable Mini Envelope Punch Board. I love this little tool so much, it is so handy, light and easy to use, I had a lot of fun making a bunch of mini envelopes to create the final design of my layout!

Mini Envelope Punch Board Layout by Soraya Maes for We R Memory Keepers

As I wanted the smallest envelopes I went with lots of 2×2 inches pieces of paper I found on a gorgeous 12×12 patterned paper from Pink Paislee. The colorful squares were already printed so it was very easy to cut them with my Trim & Score Board.

The mini envelopes measure 1×1 inch once they are folded. How cute are they all ?! They will be perfect to decorate the background.

To add more texture I decided to create the grid of the background with some stitching. The Stitch Happy made that really easy. The mint twine was the perfect texture to add more dimension.

Father’s Day Scrapbook Page

Hello everyone!  It’s Eva on the blog today sharing with you a fun Father’s Day Layout using some of my favorite tools!

Father's Day Scrapbook Page by Eva Pizarro for We R Memory Keepers

When I received my Swivel Knife I knew I wanted to use it to make some stripes for a background. The blade in the Swivel Knife rotates so you can cut freely and get curvy lines easily.

To make my background I made a 1 inch mark on each edge with my Layer Guides and cut some stripes from top to bottom

We R Memory Keepers Crafter's Essentials

Next, I removed some cardstock stripes and when I was done I put a patterned paper on the back. I used this lovely paper from the Cool Kids pad from DCWV.

We R Memory Keepers Swivel Knife

I made a heart collage with some photos from my husband and son and then I wrote my journaling on the same heart shape using my Typecast Typewriter.

We R Memory Keepers Typecast Typewriter

After that, I cut my journaling out and placed it in the middle of the layout with the photo on top.  I used a brad to hold my journaling and my photo together, to read the journaling simply rotate the photo!

I used my Detail Scissors to fussy cut some elements from the Cool Kids Paper Pad.

We R Memory Keepers Details Scissors

I love that ribbon shape! To decorate it I bend a stamp shape over my Acrylic block and stamped the image.

For my title I used my Happy Jig and wrote the word “we” and “dad”.

If you want to write dad here are the coordinates:

Starting Peg: P14

Medium Pegs: J12 J23 F14 F25 K18 M17

Summer Scrapbook Page

Hey there, We R Memory Keepers friends and fans, I’m Becki Adams here to share a layout with you that I created with a few of my favorite We R Memory Keepers tools. There are some tools that I always keep near my desk at my fingertips. The laser square is one tool that is always on my desk. My husband will tell you that I can’t measure or put items in a straight line to save my life. That’s why I love the Laser Square so much! It makes measuring and alignment a breeze.

Summer Scrapbook Page by Becki Adams for We R Memory Keepers

One of my favorite “go to” designs is a grid. I love the clean simple lines of a grid layout.

On this “Summer in Central Park” layout I used four 4×3 photos in an offset grid design. The photos are in a straight line, but they are slightly of set from the other column. The Laser Square made it so easy to make sure that my photos were in a straight line especially on a solid background.

Summer Scrapbook Page by Becki Adams for We R Memory Keepers

Another tool that I love and keep near my desk at all times is my Stitch Happy Sewing machine. I love the added detail that machine stitching gives my layouts. Thread/stitching is also a great “adhesive.” Once something is stitched onto a layout, there’s no worries of it falling off the layout after a long period of time. A layout that has machine stitching will always stay together.

Ever since I started scrapbooking years (and years) ago, I loved using tags. At first, I always purchased shipping tags at my local office supply store. Now that the Tag Punch Board is in my office, I’ve been making custom tags for all of my projects.

Summer Scrapbook Page by Becki Adams for We R Memory Keepers

On this layout I made a custom tag for the title. It was fun to make the tag just the right size for the letter stickers. Of course, I didn’t forget the custom hole reinforcer that I punched out with my We R Memory Keepers Hole Reinforcer punch.

Precision Press Advanced Scrapbook Page

Hi everyone! Soraya here with you today to share a new layout using the Precision Press Advanced! I’m so excited for this new tool–I love the fact that you can easily stamp wherever you want on your page thanks to the rotating acrylic block. I will show you how I made it!

Precision Press Advanced Scrapbook Page by Soraya Maes for We R Memory Keepers

As I wanted to include a big heart die in the center of the page, I decided to play with the layered butterflies stamp set and add extra dimension thanks to the Precision Press Advanced. First I used the acrylic block like a traditionnal block and stamped several butterflies on my background.

Then I used some of the gorgeous papers from the Botanical Beauty paper pad to fill the heart shape with different patterns.

On another watercolor paper I stamped several layered butterflies using different We R Memory Keepers ink colors. How easy it is to align each layer of the stamp! And I could also rotate the acrylic block to make more stamps in a row!

Then I fussy cut all of them with my detail scissors before sticking them directly on the layout, but I only put adhesive on one half of each butterfly to create more dimension. This way, we can easily see the first image underneath.

Scrapbook Page with the Precision Press Advanced

Hello, We R Memory Keepers friends and fans. Becki here to share a layout with you that I created with the brand-new Precision Press Advanced. Stamping isn’t my forte, so I’m always thrilled to work with a stamping tool. The brand-new Precision Press advanced makes me look like a pro when it comes to stamping.  I decided to create an 8 ½ x 11 layout with a selfie.

Precision Press Advanced Scrapbook Page by Becki Adams for We R Memory Keepers featuring Vicki Boutin stamps

I knew I wanted a lot of flowers cascading down the page from top to bottom with the photo nestled in the middle. The first step to creating this layout was stamping several flowers. The Precision Press Advanced is perfect for stamping multiples of one stamp. I used a piece of 12×12 smooth cardstock to create the flowers. I was able to rotate the paper so that I could get many flowers on one piece of cardstock. The removeable acrylic block makes stamping on 12 x 12 patterned papers a breeze.

Precision Press Advanced Scrapbook Page by Becki Adams for We R Memory Keepers featuring Vicki Boutin stamps

After I stamped the flowers, I colored them with water-based markers and a water brush. When the flowers were dry, I cut them out with the new spring scissors. I LOVE these scissors! They make fussy cutting SO easy.

Precision Press Advanced Scrapbook Page by Becki Adams for We R Memory Keepers featuring Vicki Boutin stamps

When the flowers were ready to adhere to the layout I adhered the photo first and added the flowers around the photo. I started at the top and worked my way down and around the left side of the photo.

Precision Press Advanced Scrapbook Page by Becki Adams for We R Memory Keepers featuring Vicki Boutin stamps

The rest of the layout came together so easily! I’ve been doing a LOT of hidden journaling on tags lately. Using a tag for the journaling has become a fun technique for me because of the Tag Punch Board.

Precision Press Advanced Scrapbook Page by Becki Adams for We R Memory Keepers featuring Vicki Boutin stamps

It wouldn’t be a layout for me if I don’t do a little bit of stitching. I LOVE using the Stitch Happy machine because I love the look of thicker thread. On this layout, I did a simple straight stitch around the edge of the layout.

Thank you for stopping by the We R Memory Keepers blog. I’d love to see what you’re creating with the Precision Press Advanced stamping tool. If you’re like me, using the Precision Press Advanced is a game changer. You’ll love this tool!

Graduation Scrapbook Page

Hey there, We R Memory Keepers friends and fans, Becki here to share with you a scrapbook page that I created with a few of my favorite tools. I’ve always been a memory keeper at heart. I LOVE photos and love pairing them with memories even more. I’m a traditional scrapbooker who loves lots of photos and lots of journaling. I gravitate toward tools that make creating even easier and more fun. I used a lot of We R Memory Keeper tools to create this layout.

It’s the season for graduation and with graduations comes a TON of photos. A couple of years ago my last little man graduated from Kindergarten. Of course, I was a teary mess as my little man, sang with is class, and received his diploma. My husband and I took turns taking photos. We have a few great photos of the day. I used three of these photos on this layout. I knew I wanted these three photos on the same layout (on a grid design) and I had quite a bit of journaling with each photo.

Graduation Scrapbook Page by Becki Adams for We R Memory Keepers

Each photo is 3 ½ x 5” printed in black and white. The photos are printed in black and white because, well, the ceremony was in the school’s gym and the lighting was awful.  I laid the photos on a grid design using my Laser Square to line everything up. Once I had the placement of my photos figured out, I adhered the photos using strong double-sided tape along 3 sides of the photo. I left one side of the photo without adhesive so that I could slide a tag behind each photo for hidden journaling.

Graduation Scrapbook Page by Becki Adams for We R Memory Keepers

The three tags that slide behind each photo are created with the tag punch board and the hole reinforcer punch. Tags are one of my favorite embellishments and I LOVE tucking them behind photos with additional photos and journaling. The tags are perfect for adding typed journaling which I did after I took the photos as there was personal information on them.

Graduation Scrapbook Page by Becki Adams for We R Memory Keepers

The stars that are scattered throughout the layout are fussy cut with the new spring scissors. These are my new favorite scissors for fussy cutting. Fussy cutting is one of my favorite techniques. I’m thrilled to have a new favorite pair of scissors for all of my fussy cutting needs.

Graduation Scrapbook Page by Becki Adams for We R Memory Keepers

To finish the layout and make sure that everything stays in place, I added a few lines of stitching with my Stitch Happy sewing machine. I love that machine! My favorite feature of this machine is that it stitched with thicker (embroidery type) thread.

Graduation Scrapbook Page by Becki Adams for We R Memory Keepers

I couldn’t be happier with how this Kindergarten graduation layout came together. This day has so many precious memories for our family and I’m so happy to have them documented. I could have created this layout without my favorite We R Memory Keepers tools, but it wouldn’t have been as easy or as enjoyable. Don’t we all have our favorite tools that we love using and that makes crafting a little more fun? I’d love to know, what are your favorite crafting tools? Let me know in the comments below.
