Goodie Bags + We R Tools & Collections

Hello We R fans! It’s Aly here with you today sharing some projects featuring the Goodie Bag Guide and Oh Goodie Collection. When I first got my hands on this fun new tool and collection my mind was filled with ideas for combining them with other We R tools and collections. I created a set of goodie bags combining several of my We R favorites which you can see below.

Goodie Bags by Aly Dosdall

Use the 123 Punch Board to make bows, plus emboss your bags with the Evolution Advanced and Next Level Embossing Folders.

Make banners to decorate your bags with the Banner Punch Board, and add tags or ephemera from the Crush collection–it matches the Oh Goodie ombre papers perfectly!

Goodie Bags by Aly Dosdall 6

Use the DIY Party Pom Pom Makers to add a fun flare to your goodie bags, and include elements from the Honey I’m Home collection since that one coordinates well too!

Create a border or band round your bag with your Oh Goodie glassine paper scraps and the DIY Party Tag Punch. Don’t you just love those darling shaped paper clips from the Oh Goodie collection?

Add Fringe Tape to your bags from the DIY Party Mini Piñatas. There are plenty of colors to chose from, and I love the look!

And finally, use the Evolution Advanced to die cut windows in your bags and fill them in with acetate sheets from the Clearly Posh collection. So fun to see a peek what’s inside the goodie bag!

Goodie Bag Notebook

Hello WRMK fans!  Amanda here today.  My 9 year old daughter is in the middle of a notebook hoarding phase.  She writes in them, draws in them, and tapes little mementos in them.  I thought it would be fun to make her a custom notebook full of pockets that she could fill and stuff to her heart’s delight.

Goodie Bag Notebook by Amanda Coleman for We R Memory Keepers

At first glance, this looks like a pretty regular notebook, but it is what’s inside that makes it special.  The Cinch book binding tool from WRMK makes it super easy to create notebooks in all sorts of custom shapes and sizes.

Goodie Bag Notebook 5

Rather than using regular paper for the notebook pages, I made several goodie bags using the Oh Goodie! Goodie bag guide tool and papers and inserted them in the notebook as the pages.  I embellished the pages with ephemera and paper clips to make them both fun and functional.

Goodie Bag Notebook 3

My daughter loves rainbows and bling so a rainbow striped cover with a gold heart and letters was just perfect for her.

Goodie Bag Notebook 6

The goodie bag pocket pages can be used to hold all sorts of things, including notebook paper and pencils.  I bound the notebook with a large spiral so the notebook would have room to “grow” as my daughter stuffs it with her favorite things.

Goodie Bag Notebook 4

Colored pencils fit perfectly inside of a goodie bag pocket page.  You can take your paper and pencils with you in the same notebook!

Goodie Bag Notebook 8

The goodie bag pages can be used to store favorite photos, too.

Goodie Bag Notebook 7

The ombre glassine goodie bag 12”x12” papers come in all colors of the rainbow.   Embellish goodie bag pages with all kinds of fun doo-dads and ephemera.

Goodie Bag Notebook 9

One piece of 12”x12” Cinch book board is all you need to make the front and back cover for your goodie bag notebook.  The maximum width of a goodie bag is 5.5”, but it is easy to make them smaller, too.  Trim your covers to size depending on how tall you make the bags.

Goodie Bag Notebook 10

Use the glassine goodie bag paper to cover the front and back covers of your notebook just like you would any regular scrapbook paper.  Since the back side of the glassine paper is waxy, be sure to use an adhesive that will stick to the slick surface.

Happy March!

Polka Dot DIY Teepee

Hello, Samantha here with you today. I am beyond excited to be sharing my version of the We R Memory Keepers + Crate Paper Teepees with my Polka Dot Teepee.

Polka Dot Teepee By Samantha Taylor for We R Memory Keepers #DIYteepee #targetcom

First let me say, if you have littles in your life, they will LOVE this! In fact, my kids (ages 7 and 9) are sitting in it together right now, reading. There’s enough room in there for both of them, a blanket, and a couple of pillows. It’s super fun!

Polka Dot Teepee By Samantha Taylor for We R Memory Keepers #DIYteepee #targetcom

The easiest way to customize this teepee and make it your own is to paint it. The teepee comes with black paint, and I picked up some bright green and aqua blue paint to add to the mix as well. The teepee also comes with 3 different stamps. I decided to go with just the circle stamp.

Polka Dot Teepee By Samantha Taylor for We R Memory Keepers #DIYteepee #targetcom

Stamping with paint is a lot like stamping with ink. Just spread your tee pee out as flat as you can in a well-lit area (I used the floor in my craft room), ink up your foam stamp (in this case you’ll be inking it up with paint), and press your stamp to the fabric with firm but even pressure. I suggest placing cardboard under the layer that you will be stamping on to give you a firm foundation to stamp on and to protect the rest of your project if any of the paint seeps through.

Polka Dot Teepee By Samantha Taylor for We R Memory Keepers #DIYteepee #targetcom

I started by stamping dots all over the front of the teepee randomly, and then I carried those dots around the sides of the teepee, just at the bottom. Carrying the dots along the bottom of the sides helped give a continuity of design without the business of an all over polka dot pattern.

I used most of the included flags, felt feathers, pompoms, and tassels to decorate the top of the teepee.

Don’t forget you have an entire inside you can decorate, too! I thought it would be so much fun to create some polka dot lights for inside the teepee.

Polka Dot Teepee By Samantha Taylor for We R Memory Keepers #DIYteepee #targetcom #DIYParty #honeycomblights

I used honeycomb paper from the DIY Party collection and a string of lights from the Honeycomb Light Kit to create a battery powered string of globe lights for inside the teepee. I used paper from the black, meadow, and ocean honeycomb pads to incorporate the same colors from the polka dots on the outside of the teepee. I cut the paper into sphere shapes, so it looks like there are polka dots hanging inside the teepee. It really adds some extra magic to the space!

This teepee is such a fun space for my kids (and to be honest, I’ve spent some time in it with them, too). It’s so easy to set up and customizing it with paints and decorations makes it such a special place to read and hang out. How would you customize a teepee?

Pop Up Birthday Card

30 days of evolution

Hello WRMK fans, Carrie here! I hope everyone is enjoying their summer, I know mine has been filled with fun, graduation parties and birthdays! Since birthdays are always a fun celebration I decided to share with you a way to make that special handmade card you are sending just a bit more fun. I love to make my own birthday cards and with the WRMK Evolution Advanced and Birthday Cake Pop Up Template I was able to go that little step further to make my card really stand out.

Once I gathered all of my supplies I was ready to get started. Using the Evolution Advanced and the Birthday Cake Pop Up Template and WRMK Cakes and Candles and Pebbles Cottage Living

After I got all my pieces cut out I carefully assembled the cake and made my card. I suggest using a heavy double sided tape to put your cake together with since it will be folded up in the card. This way you can be assured it stays intact. For this I used Sticky Thumb Double Sided Super Sticky Red Tape .

I then attached the cake to the inside of my card…

Using the WRMK Evolution Advanced and die templates are not only easy, they are fun to use. When you use them who knows what your imagination will come up with. We would love to see what you create using some of these tools so please feel free to share your creations with us!

Lightbulb Banner

30 days of evolution

Hi everyone, it’s Traci and I’m happy to be back on the blog to share a project using the new We R Memory Keepers light bulb garland die set.   Banners and garland are all the rage on Pinterest these days and they aren’t just for parties anymore!

To create the banner, I used the Evolution Advanced Cutting Machine, the Lightbulb Garland Die Set and the new Clearly Posh collection.

I cut the lightbulb shapes out of white card stock and the Clearly posh acetate.  The dies will create an impression in the acetate, which is then easy to cut around with a paid of scissors.

The garland comes together super quick once all of the pieces are cut.  I added some self-adhesive sequins to the top of each lightbulb and finished the end of the banner with a few gold plastic bows.

Thanks for stopping by today and we hope you’ll share pictures of your We R Memory projects  with us on our Facebook page!
