Mini Alphabet Punch Board Scrapbook Page

Hello crafty people! Soraya here with you today to share a Pinterest inspiration project! Who doesn’t know about Pinterest? And more than that, who hasn’t already spent hours and hours admiring the beautiful pictures, DIY, inspiration homes etc? Not me, ha ha! So today I would like to show you how to make a fun layout using an inspiration piece from “the paradise for the eyes” well, I meant Pinterest! Let’s go!

Mini Alphabet Punch Board Scrapbook Page by Soraya Maes for We R Memory Keepers

First of all, here is the picture I have chosen in the Pinterest gallery : a huge wall calendar in black and white, with big numbers. I just love how it decorates the office and the brightness it brings to the room. So I decided to take this design as an inspiration for my layout.

For the layout background I also wanted to play with big numbers so I grabbed my Mini Alphabet Punch Board and five sheets of pink cardstock to create an ombré look. It was so fun to punch all the numbers in different colors, to assemble them on my background and finally collect the confetti leftovers!

And after assembling the numbers, I made my page design directly on them with a gorgeous glittered transparent paper which allows us to see through it. And voilà!

Banner Punch Board Scrapbook Page

Hey there We R Memory Keepers friends and fans, Becki here to share with you a layout I created using the Banner Punch Board and my Typecast Typewriter. I love the triangle trend that I’ve seen lately in the scrapbooking community. I found THIS is the layout on Pinterest.  This layout inspired me to create a layout full of triangles.
Banner Punch Board Layout by Becki Adams
I’ve wanted to try creating a layout with triangles but I’m not very good at cutting out triangles by hand. My hand cut triangles always end up looking wonky and uneven. Finally, I realized that I’ve had the perfect tool for cutting triangles right in my office the entire time! The Banner Punch Board is perfect for cutting triangles of all sizes.
Banner Punch Board Layout by Becki Adams
I started creating this layout but cutting several triangles out of patterned papers in lots of different sizes. I chose 6 different patterned papers and cut 3 triangles out of each pattern (one small, one medium, and one large). Then, I arranged the triangles around the layout creating a visual triangle with each pattern/color.
Banner Punch Board Layout by Becki Adams

After arranging the triangles on the background of the layout I adhered the photo in the lower right corner of the layout. Using my Typecast Typewriter, I typed my journaling on a coordinating piece of patterned paper. I cut the journaling into strips and nestled the strips into the triangle background.

Do you love the triangle trend as much as I do? Try using the Banner Punch Board to create a layout that’s full of perfectly cut triangles!

Tab Punch Board Scrapbook Page

Hi! Welcome to the We R blog! It’s Eva Pizarro here today sharing a layout made with some of my favorite We R tools!

Tab Punch Board Scrapbook Page by Eva Pizarro for We R Memory Keepers

The Tab Punch Board is perfect for making folders and planner dividers but I love to use it on my layouts too! IN this layout I use it to add hidden photographs and you could also use it to add a hidden journaling! I also used my Fringe and Score Tool to cut perfect strips of paper to create my background. I use a lot of paper strips in my layouts and this is a quick way to make them!

We R Memory Keepers Fringe and Score Board

With the Tab Punch Board you can make tabs anywhere you want, and in different widths too, it’s really easy to use.

We R Memory Keepers Tab Punch Board

The perfect match for your tabs is the Typecast Typewriter and the tiny stickers strips you can find in their collection. I used my Typecast to add my journaling and titles for my tabs.

I placed my tabs underneath my picture, each tab has a photograph of the species we saw at an exhibit last spring.

For this layout I used the Tealightful collection by our sister brand Pebbles, I think it is perfect for my Spring photos!

Shaker Pennant Scrapbook Page

Hello We R Memory Keepers fans! Soraya here with you today and I’m very excited to share a new project! Let’s make 4 fun shaker pennants with the Photo Sleeve Fuse Tool along with the amazing Fuse Mat to embellish your layouts!

Shaker Pennant Scrapbook Page by Soraya Maes for We R Memory Keepers

To make these fun shaky pennants you will need one or two  waterfall photo sleeves (depending on how big you want your pennants to be), the Banner Punch Board, your Fuse Tool and mat, FUSEables papers and embellishments. You will also need scissors and an adhesive runner.

First of all, grab your Banner Punch Board and make 4 little pennants (mine are 2.5 inches) in 4 different patterned FUSEables papers.

Then place one pennant in a waterfall photo sleeve, Fuse the smallest edge and use your scissors to trim all around (don’t forget to leave one inch margin to close it after). Insert some sequins inside and again use your Fuse to close the pennant. So easy!

And this is what you get when you make them all! Aren’t they so cute? You can insert sequins, sparkles, glitter… or any little embellishment you want if you are making bigger pennants! The possibilities are endless as long as you have a Fuse to make it!

I also used my Fuse Tool to place some embellishments all around my photo and at the top of my layout as well. I just love the « stitch » effect you have with the FUSEables pieces!

To place my 4 pennants on my layout, I simply added a FUSEables surface first, then I repeated the same process with the Fuse Tool to stick them on it.

And here is the final result with some extra details! I hope you had fun joining me today for this new project! Don’t hesitate to use your Fuse Tool and some waterfall photo sleeves to create extra embellishments for your projects just like I did, it’s so much fun and easy! You will love it!

Alphabet Punch Boards Layout

Hello, We R friends! Tessa Buys here, and today I’m sharing a new layout featuring both the Alphabet Punch Board and the Mini Alphabet Punch Board:

Alphabet Punch Boards Layout by Tessa Buys for We R Memory Keepers

First, I pulled a few patterned papers from the Maggie Holmes Catching Dreams collection. Following the easy instructions that come with the punch boards, I made several A’s.

After punching the large text A’s, I used acrylic paint to color them. Once they were dry, I added them to my layout background. I used Sticky Thumb foam adhesives to pop up the mini A’s.

I also punched several A’s out of vellum using the Mini Alphabet Punch Board. Once arranged on my page, I used the Staple Board to attach the A’s. I love being able to staple anywhere on a 12×12 layout!

I see myself using this monogram technique on future pages! It’s a great way to add a lot of pattern and color, and monograms are classic design elements. What letter will you punch? Happy creating!

Add Ribbon to a Scrapbook Page

Hey there We R Memory Keepers friends and fans, Becki here. Today, I have a tool to show you that will quickly become your new favorite tool, seriously! I’ve been playing with the ribbon cutter and I’ve fallen in love. I’m sure you will too.

Add Ribbon to a Scrapbook Page with the Ribbon Cutter
I have a huge stash of ribbon scraps in my drawer. I pulled out a LOT of ribbon scraps and played with the ribbon cutter for a long time. I learned a LOT while playing with the pile of ribbon. I learned that this ribbon cutter will cut most kinds of ribbon (including sequins, velvety, satin, silk, and grosgrain). I learned that you don’t want to cut ribbon that is cotton. Cotton ribbon will burn and turn black. By the end of my playing time I had a pile of ribbon scraps with perfectly seared edges on my desk.

I decided that I wanted to use this variety of ribbon scraps on a layout. To start my layout I grabbed my laser square and started lining up ribbon scraps across the middle of the page.

I continued lining up and adhering ribbon in the center of my layout. I can’t even tell you how thrilled I am with how this layout turned out. I think the variety of ribbon make such a great background.

Add Ribbon to a Scrapbook Page with the Ribbon Cutter

I also used the laser square to make sure my photos and titles were straight on the layout as well.

I’ve done a similar technique with ribbon before but I had to stitch the ends of each ribbon so they wouldn’t fray. This time, I didn’t have to do any stitching to keep the ribbon from fraying, the Ribbon Cutter did all of that for me!

Thank you for stopping by the We R Memory Keepers blog. I hope you’ll add the Ribbon Cutter tool to your stash…you won’t be sorry!!

Journal in a Shape with the Typecast

Hello! It’s Eva Pizarro on the blog today showing you a fun way you can use your Typecast Typewriter and let the journaling be an important element of your layout.

Journal in a Shape with the Typecast typewriter

To make the big journaling star I drew the shape with my electronic cutting machine, you could do it by hand but this was much easier for me! Use a pencil to make marks were your photo or title will be and then begin typing on your Typecast Typewriter with gold ink.

journal-in-a-shape-by-eva-pizarro-2

I used this gorgeous constellation paper you can find in the Typecast 12 x 12 inch paper pad as my base.  It has rose gold foil details that I think are perfect with the gold ink journaling.

Journal in a Shape with the Typecast typewriter

As a base for my photo I used journaling tags and basic cards from the same Typecast collection.

Journal in a Shape with the Typecast typewriter

For all the other details I used embellishments from the Moonstruck collection by Pink Paislee. I added a cluster on the top left of my layout to balance that big star on the right.

With the Typecast Typewriter your journaling can become an embellishment and an important part of your layout. And the best part is that you can record all those feelings and stories in a fun and cute way! I hope you try this technique! It’s really easy and with the colored ribbons you have lots of possibilities!

Dry Embossing on a Scrapbook Layout

Hello, We R readers, Laura here with a simple scrapbook layout for you today. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I save all my paper scraps. I have gotten better about not saving the teeny tiny pieces, but anything over two inches is fair game. I love to be able to use up those scraps on projects. Plain cardstock scraps are not always the first thing to come to mind for a scrapbook layout, but after today, maybe they will be!

Embossed Scrapbook Layout by Laura Silva for We R Memory Keepers

I started by cutting three inch squares from solid colored textured cardstock using my paper trimmer. I cut one of each – red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple. Using rainbow colors instantly pulls together any layout.

embossed-scrapbook-layout-by-laura-silva-2

After I cut out each of the squares, I ran them through the Evolution Advanced using a different Next Level embossing folder for each one. Embossing is such an easy way to “dress up” solid cardstock on a layout.

embossed-scrapbook-layout-by-laura-silva-3

I used smaller scraps to cut out little flower shapes using one of the small dies that came with the Evolution Advanced. Using the magnetic mat ensures that your pieces won’t slide around while you are cutting them out.

embossed-scrapbook-layout-by-laura-silva-4

I hadn’t had a chance to try out the new Laser Square yet, and this was the perfect project for it. I wanted to make a grid with the squares on one side of the paper. The laser lines helped me to line everything up perfectly.

embossed-scrapbook-layout-by-laura-silva-5

I added one of my favorite pictures of my husband and me at the lake from over the summer. I used a black and white picture since the layout was already so colorful. The background paper is a pearl white cardstock. The pearl sheen helps to brighten up the layout.

I used the little die cuts above and below my photo. I added a little gem to each one to make them look more like little flowers.

Lastly, I added a “you make me smile” sticker and some gold Thickers to spell out “Oh! Happy Day”.

Using the supplies you have on hand, but figuring out a way to fancy them up a bit, is a win win in my book. And I adore anything with a rainbow pattern. This page will be a great, bright, happy memory of the fun we had over the summer.

Frame Punch Scrapbook Layout

Hi! Welcome to the We R blog! It’s Eva Pizarro here today sharing three ways you can use the Frame Punch Board for your next scrapbook project.

Frame Punch Board Layout by Eva Pizarro for We R Memory Keepers

When I began to use the Frame Punch Board I was immediately drawn by the beautiful shapes left by the board. Those are meant to be scraps of paper but I thought I could use them in my layout. When you punch the four corners of your paper this is what you have left: a square with another shape in the center and 4 little pieces of paper.

frame-punch-board-layout-by-eva-pizarro-2

I used the squares as a background for my layout. I began with 2 ¼ inch squares and placed them diagonal. I cut some of the squares in half and filled all the spaces.

I also used those little scraps of paper to create the crosses on the upper part of my page. I think they would look awesome filling the entire page!

Frame Punch Board Layout by Eva Pizarro for We R Memory Keepers

Finally I used my Frame Punch Board to create different frame sizes. I did three styles: one thinner, one larger and a polaroid style frame.

I used papers from the Snow and Cocoa Collection by Crate Paper and embellishments from the Take me Away line by Pink Paislee.

To add a little more depth and make my frames stand out I used 3d dots on some pictures and embellishments.

I love the quilt style background of my layout. The Frame Punch Board is definitely a must have! You can create awesome things when you use your tools in different ways!

Throwback Thursday: Embellish Your Layout Title with the Fuse

Happy almost Friday friends! This week we’ve been focusing on using We R tools to embellish your projects. Today, we thought we’d throw it back to last year when Eva Pizarro showed us how to embellish the title on her scrapbook page with the Photo Sleeve Fuse tool and the FUSEables Collection. You can catch the entire post, with full instructions, on our blog HERE.

Confetti Title by Eva Pizarro_1

We just love how Eva layered different patterned papers from our FUSEables collection to add color to her title.

Then, using the Photo Sleeve Fuse, she heat sealed some pretty sequins inside the letters of her title with clear plastic sheets. How cool is that?

She added a FUSEables die cut heart from the ephemera pack as the center of her letter “O”.

Then, she finished off her layout with some more pieces of the ephemera pack. Pretty, right?
