Albums Made Easy and Letterpress

Today I’d like to share some ideas with you for using the Lifestyle Crafts Letterpress Tool on your Albums Made Easy layouts.  Take a look at the layout I made about my daughter’s birthday party.  Can you spot the letterpress elements?

Here’s how I incorporated some fun letterpress designs into this layout.  First I picked out some patterns from the Nautical Printing Plate Set that I thought would coordinate well with the Captured Journaling Cards I used.  Then I ran them through my letterpress tool with some Black Ink.

I created one 3×4 horizontal journaling card with the letterpress by cutting down an A2 White Flat Card, rounding the corners, punching a sparkle shape and backing it with patterned paper.  I also added some grey Enamel Dots to emphasize the word “congratulations” on the outside of my Photo Sleeve so the pocket would lay flat.

I also used the letterpress to create some borders for my journaling cards and photos.  After printing them I trimmed them and added them to various pockets on my layout.

The designs on the printing plates coordinate so well with the Albums Made Easy Journaling Card designs.  Using the letterpress is a fun way to add something extra to your Albums Made Easy layouts.

Albums Made Easy Treat Toppers

When sitting down to create your Valentine’s Day projects, don’t forget to pull out your Albums Made Easy Journaling Cards. While some of the Albums Made Easy Journaling Card sets don’t have a seasonal theme, many of the cards work perfectly for your favorite holidays and occasions.

I used my Captured Journaling Cards to make quick and easy Valentine treat toppers. My daughter can’t wait to share these with her favorite school friends.

I cut apart bits of some cards to add journaling spots to label the treat toppers.  To embellish them I added some Onyx Washi Tape, brads, and paper hearts I die cut from journaling cards with my Evolution and Heart Punches Die.

Quick and Easy Gift Tags

When I need a quick and easy tag for a birthday gift, neighbor gift, or a gift for any occasion, I often reach for my stash of Albums Made Easy Journaling Cards.  There are so many choices in each kit, that it’s easy to find the right color and design to fit my needs.

Many of the cards include journaling lines and beautiful designs so you not only have room to sign your tag, but it looks lovely as well.  You can add a bit of washi tape, some brads, or other embellishments; or you can leave the cards as they are and simply add an eyelet and baker’s twine to tie it to your gift.

I used the Magnetic Circle Cutter to make a circular tag from my Captured Journaling Cards, and tied it to my gift bag.  These journaling cards are so versatile–they’re the perfect starting point for simple gift tags, and they embellish beautifully if you’d like to get more creative with them.
