How to Create a Summer Themed Planner Spread

Hi We R fans! Soraya here for another summer project: let’s put some sunshine and colors in our planners with this new spread I made with some of my favorite tools!

Do you like sprinkles? Well, if so you will love this amazing punch that allows you to create multiple sprinkles to decorate everywhere! I decided to go with a pocket sleeve that is already in my Memory Planner and fill the 3 pockets with miscellaneous colors from cardstock leftovers.

I’ve also decorated it with words from a 12×12 paper that I cut with my detail scissors. Then I  stuck them with my glue gun.

I wanted something white and fresh to contrast with the summery colors so I went with white gesso and stuck a beautiful set of leaves directly on it.

To make it more vibrant and fun I used my Confetti Punch and added lots of confetti around the leaves.

I’ve also added more gesso to the page on the right and some fun squares (2x2inches) with my Square Punch Board! Love this tool so much!

For more mixed media vibes here I made different circles using my Square Guide and a with a thin black pen. I wrote the words “play”, “this is summer” and “enjoy” to complete the circles and a few stickers for fun!

Throwback Thursday: DIY Patriotic Confetti Poppers

Welcome to Throwback Thursday friends! Today we’re throwing it back to last summer with a popular patriotic kids activity that’s perfect for Independence Day parties and other patriotic events. It will keep the kids entertained and having fun for hours! Check out the full tutorial from Kimberly Crawford below.

Hello We R fans! Kimberly here to share a fun summer craft project with you today, a project for you and your kiddos! Summertime is about celebrations and fun. These easy-to-make confetti poppers are sure to be a hit!

Confetti Poppers by Kimberly Crawford for We R Memory Keepers

To create these fun poppers, gather card board paper tubes, balloons, card stock, patterned paper, tape, and confetti.

  1. Tie the end of the balloon. Cut the top third of the balloon off.
  2. Stretch the balloon over the end of the cardboard tube, being careful not to bend the tube. Secure the balloon with tape around the edge. Make sure the balloon is stretched tightly across the top of the tube.
  3. Cover the cardboard tube with card stock and patterned paper. TIP: When wrapping cylindrical objects with paper, make the length wrap around at least one half time more. It helps keep the paper attached.
  4. Tie a DIY Party Fringe Tab to the end of the balloon, below the knot you created earlier. Trim the excess string.

I love how the DIY Fringe Tab makes this confetti popper look like a firework!

Now for the confetti! We R Memory Keepers has many choices for confetti, Rainbow and Metallic, or you can even use the DIY Confetti Punch to create your own custom colored confetti!

Housewarming Party Gift Basket

Hello! Chantalle here again today with an easy and cost effective gift for a friend or relative that is celebrating moving into a new home. This gift basket loaded with goodies will make itself at home at theirs in no time!

I’ve included a few essentials (along with a few treats) inside a pretty, soft woven basket.

TIP: To prevent all the bits and pieces from sinking too low inside the basket, I have used my DIY Party Fringe and Score Board to create some strips of copy paper, which I have scrunched up and placed in to the base. Now the gifts will be peeking out over the top, which is much more pleasing to the eye.

Gift-basket_3

Each gift has been strung with a bit of natural twine and has a tag attached. I chose the twine as it has a lovely relaxed feel and compliments the ‘Honey I’m Home’ collection that I have used, perfectly.

Gift-basket_4

To create the tags, I have used my DIY Party Tag Punch. This is one of my go-to tools at the moment! I absolutely adore how easy it is to use and the fact that it can create three sizes of tags in one tool. Amazing! It can accommodate 2, 1.5 and 1 inch wide strips of paper. Simply feed into the slot, push down the handle and voilà, a perfect tag, ready to fold and snip to your desired length!

Gift-basket_5

One can never have too many pegs I think! The household shapes that are echoed throughout this collection are so so cute. I seriously love the oven gloves, but the pegs are a close second! I love how I could match my gift with a co-ordinating sticker or piece of ephemera on the tags themselves.

How pretty do these beautiful blooms look on some basil!

Gift-basket_8

During all that moving, it’s important to stop for a tea break! I’ve replaced some plain packaging with a clear gift box (dimensions 3.14 x 3.14 x 3.14inch) I made using my 123 Punch Board and a sheet of Clearly Posh ‘Silver Confetti Dot’.  The adorable tea cup die cut shape makes a gorgeous tag all on it’s own!

Gift-basket_9

Inside the box, I have popped some fun confetti. Again, easy as pie to make, thanks to my DIY Party Confetti Punch. In goes the paper and out comes lots of little circles, and best of all, they are in two sizes!!

Gift-basket_10

My final gift is a cute little keychain I’ve made from a house shape wood veneer.

Gift-basket_11

My Power Punch went through the wood like a hot knife through butter! I simply popped a couple of key rings onto the fastener and I was done.

Gift-basket_12

I’ve hung it on the outside of the basket and then strung a bit more twine around the base, punching some smaller holes on either side of a circular ‘Feels like Home’ die cut and threaded the twine through, securing at the back.

Gift-basket_13

Thank you very much for joining me today. Until next time!

Ice Cream Sundae Party Centerpiece

Hello WR fans! Carrie with you today to show you a very quick and easy way to dress up your table for your little one’s birthday. This centerpiece took me about 10 minutes to make so just think how much more décor you could make to really make your party come alive!

Ice Cream Sundae Party Centerpiece by Carrie Walz for We R Memory Keepers #parties #partydecor #DIYParty

So let’s get started and I will show you how the supplies below can turn into the fun ice cream sundae party centerpiece you see above!

cp1

I found some cute little ice cream dishes at the dollar store and thought the WRMK DIY Party Large Honeycomb pads would make a super cute scoop of ice cream.  First I traced the dish onto the Honeycomb pad making sure I used the gummed side of the pad as my center. I then cut out my shape.

cp2

Once I got that done I opened it up and used the AC Sticky Thumb Glue Stick and glued the back ends together creating a 360 degree shape.

For my cherry I used the WRMK DIY Party Pom Pom Maker.  I opened up both ends

cp3

Wrapped my yarn around each end. The more layers you make the fuller your pom pom will be.

cp4

When I finished that I closed the ends up and cut the yarn in between the arms of the pom pom maker.

cp5

Once you finish both sides you need to thread a piece of yarn through the arms and make a tight knot, open both ends and pull the pom pom maker apart. (You may need to fluff and trim your finished pom pom .) I glued this on top of my scoop of ice cream using AC Sticky Thumb Glue creating a pom pom cherry.

My ice cream looked a bit plain so I used the WRMK  DIY Party Confetti Punch to create some “sprinkles” and added a few more embellishments and in about 10 minutes I had a cute centerpiece for my party table!
