Storage and Organization Solutions with Soraya

Hello everybody! Soraya here with you today to share some storage solutions, and I’m very excited to show you my little Happy Jig corner! I used a tray for lemonade glasses as small shelves to store and display all my colorful wire coils. It doesn’t take too much room in my studio and it’s very handy when it comes to chose a color wire.

On the top of these mini shelves I placed 3 pencil holders to store the new Crafter’s Essential tools. One for the basic rulers, one for the tools and the last one for thin wires that I already had in my stash. I love seeing all of my tools in one glance!

How cute are all the mini punch boards? I couldn’t keep them in a basket so I decided to decorate my wall with the smallest ones! I hacked a kitchen lids storage unit I found at Ikea and simply hung it in my studio. Handy and beautiful at the same time!

Last but not least, here is my jewelry station in the gorgeous Bloom Storage! I placed all the tiny elements I need to keep handy inside. The rest of my stash is stored in other boxes. Bloom is so versatile, I could use it in the bathroom vanity, in my bedroom to store my favorite jewelry, in the kitchen for my birthday supplies (balloons, candles…) I definitely love this storage!

Throwback Thursday: Storage & Organization Tips with Chantalle

Today we’re throwing it back to last summer with some awesome craft room storage and organization tips from design team member Chantalle McDaniel. Here’s what she has to say:
“Hello WRMK fans! I have a small creative space and utilise some very cute white bookshelves to store items I use frequently, so I have them to hand when I need them. IKEA has some of my favourite storage tubs which come in handy when it comes to storing similar products or tools. I use a medium size tub (17cm x 24cm) to store my embossing folders and packs of ephemera.”

“There is a larger size tub (33.5 x 24cm) which is perfect for my punch boards as well as my hand punches. Another slightly shallower tub has a lid, in which I like to store items from my Typecast collection. (These tubs are also stackable which is fab.) One tip which I shared on Insta recently is that I like to store all of my punch board blades together in one mini tub and just use one for a couple of boards if it’s universal etc. This way, I just dull the edge of one blade at a time, instead of all of them.”

“It’s great to have pretty bits and pieces on display. Glass bowls or pretty tea cups are great finds at dollar stores or op shops and are fabulous for storing buttons, brads or washi tapes.”
Thanks for stopping by for our Throwback Thursday. Come back tomorrow for some more storage tips from our current team!

Storage Ideas with Kimberly

Hello We R Fans! Kimberly Crawford here for some storage and organization ideas to share. There are so many amazing We R Memory Keepers tools available, we definitely need great storage solutions, because we have to have all the tools!

Craft Room Storage ideas by Kimberly Crawford for We R Memory Keepers

Hands down, my favorite new storage unit is the We R Memory Keepers Bloom! Not only is it adorable, but it also holds all those small doo-dads that never seem to have a good home. Ephemera fits in the bottom trays. Small flowers, buttons, 3D embellishments, and erasers fit in the middle trays. I even found that my Craft Knife and Swivel Craft Knife refill blades fit perfectly in a tray. Simply twist the top of the unit closed and this storage fits nicely on any desk top.

I did want to mention the mat underneath the Bloom. It is the mat from the We R Memory Keepers Template Studio. The Template Studio is fantastic, but so is this cutting mat! It is a wonderful surface that I leave on my desktop all the time. I often get asked what mat I use when filming my video tutorials-the grey color is perfect and keeps my color balance in check while filming. Form, function, and looking good!

For a majority of my tools, I love baskets. You can find cute baskets just about anywhere, which makes it easy to keep your tools in one place. In this basket, I keep my punches, but if you look closer, you can also see that I store the directions with the tools. Keeping the instruction booklets in one place makes my life so much easier. We R Memory Keepers instructions are well-written and contain so many helpful tips and measurements, I do not want to misplace even one.

On the top, I keep my punch boards. Again, keeping the tools that work together in one place makes creating easier.

More basket storage. This is especially useful when the tool comes with so many wonderful accessories, like the Happy Jig! Look at all the wonderful colors of wire, including wire that looks like baker’s twine! When I want to use my tools, having them all in one place allows me to get creating, not digging through boxes and piles.

Finally, having my tools close at hand is important. I keep a couple of coffee mugs right next to me on my desk. All the new Crafter’s Essentials tools fit nicely. Plus, having this mug from someone special, always makes me smile.

What is your favorite organizational piece in your crafting space?

Craft Room Storage with Eva

Hello everyone!  It’s Eva on the blog today sharing a few ideas on how to keep all your supplies in order.

One of the the items I use the most on my scraproom is my cart. Inside I keep all my tools and my punches. I love that the color matches exactly all my We R tools! Everything looks organized.

On the top of my cart I keep all my new USB tools, Layer Guides, Ribbon Cutter, Tear Guides and others. I also keep my Happy Jig on hand and use a bin to keep all the wires and twines next to it. I love to put bins inside my cart because it helps me organize my space and have all my supplies together.

On the other two tiers I keep all my punches and my planner tools like my Planner Punch Board, my Hole Reinforcer and my Staple Board.

To organize my embellishments I use wire bins where I store all my die cuts and stickers. In general, I keep the original packaging and when the package was only a few embellishments left, I organize the remaining embellishments by color on plastic bins. I keep all my Design Team embellishments on a hanging unit as I only use those for DT assignments.

On top of my desk I always keep a fruit stand to leave small embellishments I am using on my current project and little things I find while I am tidying up my scraproom. Next to my fruit stand I have my Pink Crafter’s Tote Bag. Where I keep all my scrapbook essentials. You can find out more about my Tote Bag and Punch Boards organization here.

The last addition to my desk is the Bloom Storage. It has 16 compartments and you open and close them all together by simply twisting the top section of the Bloom Storage. You can use this gorgeous storage unit to organize your embellishments, office supplies, beads, etc! I use the bottom units to store all my Stitch Happy threads and bobbins; the middle section to store clips and small tool parts and the smaller tier to store small embellishments. In the top compartment I keep all my loose needles and pins.

I think it is easier to scrap when I have everything organized and on hand. What about you? How you keep your craft supplies organized?

Storage Solutions by Laura

Hey there, We R readers, Laura here today with some storage solutions for your favorite We R Memory Keepers tools and supplies.

My craft room is not huge plus I share it with my husband for his hobbies. I have a little over half the room to store all my crafting supplies and to work. Since the room itself is somewhat small, my favorite way to organize my tools is to go up! Utilizing vertical space on the walls makes the best use of my small space.

Storage Solutions by Laura Silva for We R Memory Keepers

I purchased some inexpensive shelves and brackets from the hardware store. It is amazing how much stuff I can fit on these two shelves. I have both the Cinch and the Evolution Advanced on them. Since they are both a little heavier, I have them on the ends directly over the brackets.

Baskets are a great way to corral all your punch boards and punches. You can find cute metal or woven baskets at just about any store. I have one basket for my alphabet punch boards (the regular and the mini), plus the papers, instruction booklets, and font punches.

I also have a basket for other punch boards, the clear cut punches, and some other smaller We R tools like the ribbon cutter.

I think my favorite new organizational tool that We R has come out with is the Bloom Storage. It doesn’t take up a lot of space on my desk, but once it is open it is perfect for corralling lots of little odds and ends.

I love my planner but keeping all the clips and little ephemera I tuck into my planner organized can be a challenge. The Bloom storage is perfect for this. I also have my special DCWV letterboard icons and the clips for the Ruler Studio in there as well.

Hello We R friends, and thanks for joining us again today for some more storage and organization tips from our design team. Today you’ll hear from Soraya Maes and Tessa Buys who have both have some fabulous ways to keep their favorite We R goodies organized and easy to find. Here’s what Soraya has to say:

“Hello We R Memory Keepers fans! Soraya here to share with you some cool tips to organize a sewing station to store your Stitch Happy sewing machine and threads!”

“First, this “shelf” is actually a tea bag storage box that I hung on the wall (it should normally be placed on a table like a tray). Look at all these perfect little storage boxes!”

“Then, I sorted all the threads by color to make it easier and all the thinnest threads are placed in cute transparent containers. Using transparent boxes to display small pieces is the best!”

“My Stitch Happy sewing machine stands on the top of a storage tower so that I can organize more supplies in the drawers below!”

“What about you, how do you store your sewing supplies? I hope those tips will help you to get organized in your creative space!”

Design team member, Tessa, has some great storage ideas to share with us as well. Check it out below:

“My craft space is a work in progress, but I adore the look and usefulness of We R Memory Keepers’ Organization Gallery products!”

“If you’re going to decorate your space, you may as well make it functional. I fill my Hanging Clips Frame with bits and pieces that color coordinate with my space, as well as the occasional photo to scrap or craft store coupon.”

“The Magnetic Chalkboard Frame is great for checklists and holding notes with magnets.”

“The Hinged Display Frame is great for safely showing off recent layouts (even ones covered in dimensional embellishments like buttons!)”

We hope you’ve enjoyed the craft room storage tips today, and that you’ve been inspired by some of these fabulous ideas. Be sure to join us tomorrow for a special storage + organization roundup. Happy Crafting!

Storage + Organization Tips with Chantalle & Eva

If you’re looking for some tips to keep your craft supplies in check, we’ve got you covered this week! Today’s tips are brought to you by Chantalle McDaniel and Eva Pizarro. Check out what Chantalle has to share below:

“Hello WRMK fans! I have a small creative space and utilise some very cute white bookshelves to store items I use frequently, so I have them to hand when I need them. Eva’s got some great storage tips to share as well. Here’s what she has to say:
“Hi everyone! It’s Eva Pizarro here sharing a few tips to keep your supplies in order. Tip #1: Who loves punch boards? I know I do! I keep mine in a wire basket and leave all my blades and small accessories in a box inside. That way the blades don’t get lost and you can use the same blade for all your punch boards. When the blade is dull you start using another one! I also keep a file inside the basket with all my punch instructional booklets, when I need help using my punch boards I always know where to look!”
“Tip #2: the one thing that is ALWAYS on my desk is my pink Crafter’s Tote Bag. I keep all my pencils, glues, scissors, rulers, Crop A Dile and Corner Punches inside. It’s the perfect companion! I love to have all the thing I use in the same place. If you need to divide your Tote Bag even more just add a can like I did! I keep small accessories inside so they don’t get lost in the big space.”
Thanks so much ladies for the helpful tips for storing your favorite craft supplies. Come back tomorrow for some more awesome ideas to keep your stash organized!

Storage + Organization Tips with Kimberly & Laura

Today we’re sharing some craft room storage and organization tips from Design Team members, Kimberly Crawford and Laura Silva. Here’s what Kimberly has to say:

“My favorite way to organize my We R Memory Keepers supplies is to use baskets. I find baskets at Target, Michael’s, and just about anywhere.”

“What I love about baskets is they can hold items of several different sizes, and keep all those small, loose pieces together. Baskets also allow me to keep my instruction booklets right with my tools. Which is valuable for me, because I have a tendency to misplace things. Keeping everything together in one basket, makes my life neater and smoother!”

And here are Laura’s thoughts on storing and organizing her craft supplies:

“I don’t know about you, but even though I have a dedicated crafting space, I tend to craft all over my house. I got tired of always having to run back to my craft room for my most used supplies.”

“Now, I keep everything I use for almost every project in my crafter’s tote bag. I have many different kinds of adhesives and glues, scissors, Sharpies, the paper trimmer and score board, a ruler, glue gun, heat proof mat, Crop-A-Dile, and more in there. It has tons of pockets, so it keeps everything organized and within easy reach.”

Thanks so much for sharing your favorite storage and organization tips with us today ladies! What tips would you share about keeping your craft supplies organized?

Storage + Organization Tips with Aly & Becki

Welcome to Storage & Organization Week here on the blog friends! We know that keeping that craft stash in check can be a challenge, so we’ve asked our design team to share their best tips and ideas for storing and organizing craft supplies this week. To start us off, Aly Dosdall and Becki Adams will share their favorite ways to keep their craft spaces organized.

“Hi there We R fans! It’s Aly here to share how I keep some of my favorite craft supplies organized and stored. The first tip I’d like to share is that storage doesn’t have to be boring–it can be beautiful and stylish! That’s why I love keeping some of my supplies out and on display with the Crate Paper Craft + Office Storage Collection.”

“Not only can you find pretty storage containers for your goodies, but many of your favorite supplies are filled with pretty colors and patterns. Why not kill two birds with one stone and use them to decorate your office while they’re being stored as well?”

“I love organizing my ribbon and washi tape by color. I think it adds such a pretty touch to my craft space. I’ve had some of these We R washi tape rolls for years and they’re still a go-to supply for me!”

“I also keep my Crop-A-Dile and Corner Chompers in an open bin with the handles facing up. That way I can easily grab the one I need, plus the pretty colored handles are easy on the eyes too!”

“Here’s my second tip for you today: we all occasionally forget what we have in our craft stash, so consider keeping some of your favorite embellishments that you can’t wait to use out on your work surface in a visible container.”

“If you can see them you’re more likely to remember to use them on your next project, plus they sure look cute sitting out there, don’t they? P.S. I know those Oh Goodie Shaped Paper Clips are supposed to be for goodie bags, but I can’t help using them on almost every project!”

Here’s what Becki Adams has to say about craft supply storage:

“When it comes to storage and organization, my best and most useful tip is to keep a Crafter’s Shoulder Bag packed with basic supplies at all times.”

“Yes, I always have a bag of scrappy supplies packed and ready to go. I’ve duplicated a few supplies (scissors, paper trimmer, adhesive, and a few sheets of basic colored cardstock). But keeping those supplies in the bag, I never have to do a lot of packing/unpacking which is a huge time saver.”

“By keeping my bag packed, I’ve found that I accomplish so much more when I’m on the go. I create wherever I go; in the park, in the carpool lane, while visiting family, on road trips, and when I go to crops. My Crafter’s Shoulder Bag is one of my most used tools inside and outside of my craft space.”

Thanks for the great tips Aly and Becki! Be sure to come back tomorrow for more storage and organization ideas from Kimberly and Laura. See you then!
