Craft Room Storage Tips with Laura

Hey there, We R friends, Laura here today. I am sharing some storage and organization tips for you today to get all your favorite We R supplies organized. I have lots of We R Memory Keepers supplies, and I like to keep them all together so when I am ready to work on a project, I have everything I need.

First up, I wanted to share with you some of the new storage bottles that were recently released. They come in lots of different shapes and sizes in both plastic and glass. The small screw stack jars are perfect for storing eyelets.

The snap lid jars keep my small planner supplies within easy reach and organized.

There are also shaker jars and vials. These are perfect for storing loose glitter that you purchase. It is also great to have a shaker jar rather than one with a screw on top to make it easier to apply the right amount of glitter right where you need it on your project.

I shared a quick look at my craft cart in my design team introduction. You can purchase these three-tiered carts just about anywhere now! They are wonderful because they have a lot of vertical space and you can roll them to wherever you want to craft. Which for me, is usually my kitchen table.

On the top shelf, I have a bunch of punch boards, my precision press, and a tote that carries all my hand tools. The basket keeps the punch boards from falling over and the tote is easy to remove from the cart and place wherever I want to craft.

On the second shelf, I have one of my favorite We R tools, the word punch board, letter punches, and number punches.

At first, I kept all the letters clicked together, but since I use this tool so much, I found having them loose in a container works best for me. I have them separated in 3 containers – letters A – M, letters N – Z, and then all the numbers.

I also have my circle trimmer and Happy Jig on this shelf as well. I used another one of the totes to corral all the happy jig wires.

On the bottom I have a basket for all my alphabet punch board supplies, plus some addition punch boards tucked in next to the basket.

Again, I like to keep all my supplies together if I can. In the basket I have the alphabet punch board, mini alphabet punch board, alphabet punch board papers, and the font punches that go with them. I keep the instruction books right in the basket, so I never have to search for them.

Craft Supply Storage Tips with Rebecca

Hello!  It’s Rebecca with you today for my first official WRMK post of 2019!  Like many of you, I’m guessing, I’m diving head first into reorganizing my house for a fresh start.  I’ve left a trail of unfinished (and some not even started!) projects behind me as I transition from the holidays into the new year, the contents of which were scattered around the house in shoeboxes, brown paper bags, and plastic bins.  I was more than thrilled to receive a couple of WRMK’s new Bloom Pouches, which made storing some of these project materials incredibly convenient.

I definitely found myself wanting to do more DIY projects as 2018 drew to a close.  This was thanks in part to the holiday decorating fever I get every year, but also thanks to acquiring a few new WRMK tools that make DIY easy and fun.  One of those tools was the Jumbo Pom Pom Maker.  Around mid-November I decided to a start a pom pom garland.  I got 3 pom poms in and had to put it aside as the holiday madness closed in.  Yet, I know this is something I still want to have for next year and I can work on it once things settle down, usually around mid-January.  This is where one of my lovely Bloom Pouches comes in.

I can store my skeins of yarn and the Jumbo Pom Pom Maker in the pouch!  The pouch opens up flat so I can see all of my supplies and grab them quickly.

Then it cinches closed and I can tuck my large fabric scissors under the closure flap for transport.  (I tend to need those scissors often, so I don’t want to close them up in the pouch.)  I can carry the pouch from the dining room table to the couch to the car.  It’s easy to bring this lot to the park, too, so I can work on the pom poms while my kids play.  When we’re done, or if we have to make a quick bathroom run, everything closes back up quickly and simply.

This won’t be a project I can work on every day so I also appreciate that the pouch closes up neatly and can be tucked away in a closet or in a basket until I’m ready to get back to it.

Another project I wanted to make but ran out of time for was a felt ball garland.  I bought all the felt balls to create it, with visions of quiet nights in front of the Christmas tree, a candle burning, a podcast playing…and then reality hit and there were almost ZERO quiet nights in December!

We R Memory Keepers Bloom Storage Pouch by Rebecca Luminarias

I decided that I’d still like to make a garland, but I’ll make it suitable for keeping up year-round.  This, too, will be a project to visit once life returns to normal, post-holiday.  It’s all stored conveniently in my pink Bloom Pouch, too!

We R Memory Keepers Bloom Storage Pouch by Rebecca Luminarias

This folds up and transports just as the other pouch does and I do plan for some quiet nights later this month.  With the felt balls, as well as the twine on which I’ll string them, all snug inside the pouch, I can take this to the living room or the park, as well.

I’ve utilized the small interior zipper pockets to store my needles and a pair of scissors.  It’s so handy, especially for the needles so they don’t get lost.

I have a feeling that this may not be an activity that I can finish in one sitting, but there’s plenty of room in the pouch for the work-in-progress garland, and that means I can keep this with my pom pom project pouch, both in a basket next to the couch to pull out when I have some free time.

If you can’t tell, I’m smitten with the Bloom Pouches!  I can see using them for all kinds of things, too, not just craft projects.  For now, though, they’re making my life a little bit easier and a lot more organized, corralling some fun projects I can’t wait to finish up.

Storage Tips with Soraya Maes

Hi We R Memory Keepers fans! Soraya here today to give you some of my storage tips! I love organizing my work space as it constantly evolves depending on the project I’m working in. Let’s have a look on my documenting station, homemade paper storage, my drawers and my glitter factory!

I have a whole desk dedicated to documention: I definitely think that it’s more handy and useful to have everything in the same place than having them separated in drawers and boxes. It is also my cute/kawaii place where I can display all the pretty unicorn and panda stuff!

I store my papers in a wooden tower that I totally hand made! They are all organized by brand and collection so that I can easily find them. If you want to learn how to make your own you can see the how to on my blog!

There is also in my scraproom a specific corner for my stationary! I’m so in love with notebooks, planners, travel notebooks and all the colorful brush pens that I decided to gather them! Here is another tip for you: use a make up storage container (the clear drawers) to store all of your pencils and brush pens!

My Label It maker and all its accessories are stored in those blue baskets so that I can easily reach them. It’s very handy for storing all the colorful tapes.

I have a thing with small transparent containers as you can see in my drawers! I just love to store all my pretty little embellishments in them, this is why you can see them everywhere in my scraproom! This is perfect to organize the wood veeners and the sequins as well.

This little shelf is like a small boutique for me, this is why I call it “my glitter factory”. This is a tray that was intially made to store the cutlery but when you install it vertically you get a cute shelf to store the glitter containers! How cool?!

Organize Your Craft Supplies with Eva

Hi everyone! It’s Eva Pizarro here sharing a few tips to keep your supplies in order. Tip #1: Who loves punch boards? I know I do! I keep mine in a wire basket and leave all my blades and small accessories in a box inside. That way the blades don’t get lost and you can use the same blade for all your punch boards. When the blade is dull you start using another one! I also keep a file inside the basket with all my punch instructional booklets, when I need help using my punch boards I always know where to look!
Tip #2: the one thing that is ALWAYS on my desk is my pink Crafter’s Tote Bag. I keep all my pencils, glues, scissors, rulers, Crop A Dile and Corner Punches inside. It’s the perfect companion! I love to have all the thing I use in the same place. If you need to divide your Tote Bag even more just add a can like I did! I keep small accessories inside so they don’t get lost in the big space.
Thanks so much ladies for the helpful tips for storing your favorite craft supplies. Come back tomorrow for some more awesome ideas to keep your stash organized!

Storage and Organization Tips with Chantalle

Hello WRMK fans, Chantalle here. I have a small creative space and utilise some very cute white bookshelves to store items I use frequently, so I have them to hand when I need them. IKEA has some of my favourite storage tubs which come in handy when it comes to storing similar products or tools. I use a medium size tub (17cm x 24cm) to store my embossing folders and packs of ephemera.

There is a larger size tub (33.5 x 24cm) which is perfect for my punch boards as well as my hand punches. Another slightly shallower tub has a lid, in which I like to store items from my Typecast collection. (These tubs are also stackable which is fab.) One tip which I shared on Insta recently is that I like to store all of my punch board blades together in one mini tub and just use one for a couple of boards if it’s universal etc. This way, I just dull the edge of one blade at a time, instead of all of them.

It’s great to have pretty bits and pieces on display. Glass bowls or pretty tea cups are great finds at dollar stores or op shops and are fabulous for storing buttons, brads or washi tapes.
Thanks for stopping by and for letting me share these ideas with you. Happy organising!

Craft Room Storage Tips with Aly

Good Monday morning We R friends! It’s Aly here, and welcome to Storage and Organization Week. This week our design team will be sharing a peek into their craft rooms along with some of their favorite tips for keeping their craft supplies stored, organized and looking great!

I’m up first this week and I’m excited to share a little corner of my newly renovated craft room, along with some ideas about how I organize and store some of my supplies.

Craft Room Storage Tips by Aly Dosdall for We R Memory Keepers

The supplies that I use most often are stored on my Crate Paper Wire Storage Grid or in my Kallax shelving unit which are both right next to my work space. That way the things I reach for regularly are within arm’s reach!

I keep my small punch boards in the Punch Board Storage which conveniently sits on top of the Stackable Paper Trays where I keep my rainbow colored cardstock. (Can you tell what my favorite colors are?) I love that they fit perfectly into my Kallax shelving, and that they stack on top of each other saving precious craft room real estate.

Storage larger punch boards in paper storage cubicles. Featured in Aly Dosdall's craft room.

The supplies I don’t use as frequently are stored on shelves in a double closet in my craft room. My larger punch boards, trimmers, Happy Jig, and score boards are stored in some paper storage cubicles in that closet.

In this cubicle I store my ongoing memory keeping projects. I also store papers and embellishments that I’m using for those on going projects right next to them so it’s easy to pull everything out when I have time to catch up on them. I’ve got my Heidi Swapp Memory Planners in the Crate Paper Desktop Paper Storage and planner papers and accessories in the Medium Craft Storage Case right next to it. Then the current scrapbook I’m working on is also in this cubicle along with the paper collections and embellishments I’m using for it next to the album in the Expandle Paper Storage.

I store my go-to tools and loose embellishments in these cubicles right next to my work space. I pull them out so I have easy access, and I open up my Bloom Storage when crafting so I can see all the goodies I get to choose from. I love that my Crafter’s Tote has a handle and PLENTY of pockets and storage space for my cutting tools, adhesive, and power tools.

I can’t live without my Washi Tape Dispenser! I love that you can stack two carousels using the Stackable Post because I’ve got a serious washi tape hoarding problem. (I probably need a few more of these, LOL!)

We R Memory Keepers Washi Tape Dispenser featured in Aly Dosdall's craft room

I keep scrapbook pages that I finish or am working on at a crop or retreat in this 12×12 Craft and Photo Storage Case. Each one is in its own page protector and stays there until I add them into my scrapbook album.

We R Memory Keepers 12x12 Craft Storage Bin featured in Aly Dosdall's craft room

I love to keep a DCWV Letterboard and a Crate Paper Magnet Studio board in my craft room that I update every month or so with seasonal or inspiring quotes. I keep all my letterboard and magnet studio letters, words, and embellishments in the Washi Tape Storage Case. This bin is like Marry Poppins’ magic carpet bag. You can fit so much in it! Check out the removeable trays with two more removeable trays underneath. Storage for days friends!

Make Tabs with the Word Punch Board

Hello and Happy Friday friends! It’s Aly Dosdall here again. My daughter recently graduated from high school and was blessed to receive some generous cash gifts from friends and family. When it came time for her to write thank you notes she knew exactly where to go in my craft room!

Create custom tabs to keep organized with the Word Punch Board. Aly Dosdall shares how.

I recently organized all my handmade cards and stored them in the Card and Craft Organizer by theme so I could easily grab one when I needed it. My daughter easily found some thank you cards to send to her generous donors.

Word Punch Board Tabs by Aly Dosdall for We R Memory Keepers.

I organize my cards in a way that works for me based on the type of cards I give away most often. The Word Punch Board made it easy to customize my tabs to fit my needs. My cards for celebrations (birthdays, showers, weddings, graduation) are behind the “YAY” tab; all occasion cards (friendship, hello, thinking of you, etc) are behind the “HELLO” tab; the “CMAS” tab is for Christmas and Holiday cards; “FOR YOU” is gift tags, gift cards, and sympathy; thank you cards are behind “THANKS”; and the “SEASON” tab is for all other holiday and seasonal cards (Easter, Halloween, fall spring, etc).

Make custom tabs with the Word Punch Board and Tab Punch Board

I started by centering the letters in my punch guide. Then I trimmed my gold foil paper to 4 1/2 inches wide and punched my word. (Be sure to save the leftover letters for another project!) After punching the word I used the Tab Punch Board to punch the edges and then trimmed the tab to 7/8 inch tall.

Word Punch Board Tabs by Aly Dosdall for We R Memory Keepers.

I backed each tab with a strip of plain white cardstock and then adhered the tabs to the dividers in the bin. This is a great way to use up paper scraps!

Word Punch Board Tabs by Aly Dosdall for We R Memory Keepers.

The Word Punch Board is a great way to customize tabs for just about anything you want to organize. You can use the letters that you punch out, as well as the paper you punch them from. Get the look you want with your choice of paper and colors.

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great weekend friends!

Storage and Organization Solutions with Soraya

Hello everybody! Soraya here with you today to share some storage solutions, and I’m very excited to show you my little Happy Jig corner! I used a tray for lemonade glasses as small shelves to store and display all my colorful wire coils. It doesn’t take too much room in my studio and it’s very handy when it comes to chose a color wire.

On the top of these mini shelves I placed 3 pencil holders to store the new Crafter’s Essential tools. One for the basic rulers, one for the tools and the last one for thin wires that I already had in my stash. I love seeing all of my tools in one glance!

How cute are all the mini punch boards? I couldn’t keep them in a basket so I decided to decorate my wall with the smallest ones! I hacked a kitchen lids storage unit I found at Ikea and simply hung it in my studio. Handy and beautiful at the same time!

Last but not least, here is my jewelry station in the gorgeous Bloom Storage! I placed all the tiny elements I need to keep handy inside. The rest of my stash is stored in other boxes. Bloom is so versatile, I could use it in the bathroom vanity, in my bedroom to store my favorite jewelry, in the kitchen for my birthday supplies (balloons, candles…) I definitely love this storage!
