Shaker Pocket Page with the Fuse

Hello We R Memory Keepers fans! Soraya here with you today to talk about pocket pages, and share with you some tips and tricks to use your favorite tools and embellishments to showcase your photos in a very cool way!

Shaker Pocket Page by Soraya Maes for We R Memory Keepers

If it’s the first time you’re diving into the pocket page world, here are some product ideas that will perfectly fit: I used the amazing FUSEables embellishments, some washi tape, sequins, colorful papers and some We R Memory Keepers journaling cards.

So here are some fun tips for you to create: my journaling is made with the fabulous Typecast. I love the vintage touch it gives to the pockets!

Use your Staple Punch Board to get extra dimension while assembling the die cuts together !

When using the Fuse Tool, the Laser Square will be perfect to guide you! All you have to do is placing the Fuse Mat just under the pocket page before starting fusing!

Use the Laser Square to get straight lines with your Fuse tool.

You can place the FUSEables embellishments directly on the pocket page ! Plus, you will get a beautiful stitch effect. Before closing the top of this section, insert some sparkles in it!

Play with layers and add more FUSEables diecuts !

Geometric shapes can be fun too: for example in this pocket, I cut 2 patterned triangles and used my Fuse Tool to separate them. I also placed some FUSEables die cuts on the top of the pocket for the final touch.

And for this last pocket I separated it in three parts: one for the photo, one for the sequins and one more for the journaling part. The Fuse Tool is so awesome for that! Feel free to compose your pocket page the way you want!

Mini Album with the Typecast and Fuse

Hello there, We R friends! It’s Aly Dosdall back again to share a sweet mini album all about my daughters. Like some of you, scrapbooking was my gateway into the world of paper crafts. It’s my first love, not only because of the creative outlet it provides, but also because I believe in documenting stories.

Mini Album by Aly Dosdall for We R Memory Keepers featuring the Typecast typewriter and Photo Sleeve Fuse

While I love scrapbooking for the creativity, I don’t always have time for complicated, time-consuming pages. I really don’t want that to prevent me from telling important stories though, so I decided to use a Heidi Swapp Photo Journal from the Magnolia Jane collection to make a quick mini album about my relationship with my wonderful daughters.

Mini Album by Aly Dosdall for We R Memory Keepers featuring the Typecast typewriter and Photo Sleeve Fuse

What I love about this photo journal, is that I can continue to add to it as we make memories and have stories to tell. I started out the album with some photos from Easter this year, and I plan on adding to it about once a quarter until it’s full.

Mini Album by Aly Dosdall for We R Memory Keepers featuring the Typecast typewriter and Photo Sleeve Fuse

I created a cover page, a page for each of my three girls, and a fun decorative shaker pocket page where I included some extra journaling.

In this album, each of the pages is a pocket that you slide your photo (or patterned paper, journaling card, or shaker pocket) into, so it was easy to slide in my shaker pocket once I created it.

Mini Album by Aly Dosdall for We R Memory Keepers featuring the Typecast typewriter and Photo Sleeve Fuse

I started with a 4×4 inch waterfall sleeve, and inserted a 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 inch piece of patterned paper, some confetti, some wood veneer shapes, and some sequins.

Shaker pocket with the Photo Sleeve Fuse

Then I used my Photo Sleeve Fuse to seal the waterfall sleeve shut, and trimmed off the excess.

Shaker pocket with the Photo Sleeve Fuse

I added a couple of stickers on the front of the shaker pocket, so that the shaker pieces won’t cover them up. Then I inserted the shaker pocket into the album.

Tip: adding some double sided tape to the back of the shaker pocket holds it in place nicely in the album.

It was easy to add my journaling with the Typecast typewriter to some tags and journaling cards. I love that I can run my journaling spots right through the typewriter!

Thanks so much for joining me today. I hope you’ve found some inspiration to tell your stories, and get your photos into a scrapbook album. Happy crafting friends!

Shaker Baby Cards

Happy Friday We R friends! I hope you’ve enjoyed all the baby inspiration this week. Today I’m going to finish things off with a set of boy & girl shaker baby cards that I made with my Photo Sleeve Fuse, along with some FUSEables plastic paper and embellishments.

Shaker Baby Cards by Aly Dosdall for We R Memory Keepers

Shaker Baby Cards by Aly Dosdall for We R Memory Keepers

I started by heating up my Fuse tool for 10 minutes. It’s important to let it heat up long enough to get the best results. Then, I used some 2 inch plastic pouches to create shaker pockets, filling them with sequins, and fusing the four sides to the back of the FUSEables card windows. Then I fused the back flap of the card front closed, for a more finished look on the inside of the card.

For the girl card, I added some FUSEables plastic ephemera to the card front with my Fuse tool. No adhesive necessary with the FUSEables plastic paper and Fuse tool! And, I love the way the fused lines look like stitching.

Shaker Baby Cards by Aly Dosdall for We R Memory Keepers

I added a small self-adhesive label where I had typed the word “BABY” with my Typecast typewriter. I love how easy it is to add text to my projects with the Typecast!

To make the boy card, I made the circle window into a baby rattle by cutting a handle from some FUSEables paper with my Cameo.

Next, I cut a ring out with my circle cutter to go around the shaker window and glued it to the card front.

I finished it off with some FUSEables ephemera, again with only my Fuse tool and no adhesive!

Thanks for joining me today. I hope you’ve found some helpful project inspiration. Enjoy your weekend, and be sure to check back next week!

Confetti Birthday Favor Boxes

Hello, We R Memory Keepers readers, Laura here today sharing a birthday craft with you. Whenever I throw a birthday party, I always like to hand out a little favor at the end to let my guests know I appreciate them coming. Creating your own little confetti birthday favor box and filling it with treats is the perfect way to say thank you.

Confetti Birthday Favor Boxes by Laura Silva for We R Memory Keepers

Using the 1-2-3 punch board as a guide, I punched and scored my paper on the back side. Since we are making a string box it is not necessary to score line C as you would for a regular box.

Then, flip the paper over the other side and punch all four sides again, using the start line as your guide. Use the punch board to round the four corners of the box.

Punch holes in each of the four corners of the box using your Crop-A-Dile tool.

Confetti Birthday Favor Boxes by Laura Silva for We R Memory Keepers

Use the bone folder to crease all the score lines. Then, cut one corner of the paper along the vertical score lines. Do this again on the opposite side.

Confetti Birthday Favor Boxes by Laura Silva for We R Memory Keepers

Flip the paper over to the patterned side of the paper and add adhesive to each of the cut tabbed sections. Then, fold the flaps inward to create a box.

This is the time to fill your box with treats or party favors.

Trim some ribbon to fit around the box, leaving enough extra to tie a bow. Thread the ribbon through the hole that is in line with the ribbon, then thread the ribbon back out through the hole in the flap to the right. Repeat this process on the opposite side.

Confetti Birthday Favor Boxes by Laura Silva for We R Memory Keepers

Be sure to tuck in the flaps on the sides with the ribbon so the box will close properly. Tie the ribbon to hold the box closed. Using the leftover scraps of paper use the confetti punch to create coordinating confetti.

Add the confetti to a two inch by two inch FUSE photo sleeve. You can also add some colored sequins or beads, as well. Use the FUSE tool to close up the end. Using the Crop-A-Dile punch a hole in the corner of the clear pouch.

Thread the pouch on the ribbon and tie a bow.

You could easily add a sentiment tag along with the clear confetti pouch for any occasion – to say thank you or celebrate. You can use any paper and ribbon that matches your party decor to easily coordinate with the theme of your special day.

Shaker Pennant Scrapbook Page

Hello We R Memory Keepers fans! Soraya here with you today and I’m very excited to share a new project! Let’s make 4 fun shaker pennants with the Photo Sleeve Fuse Tool along with the amazing Fuse Mat to embellish your layouts!

Shaker Pennant Scrapbook Page by Soraya Maes for We R Memory Keepers

To make these fun shaky pennants you will need one or two  waterfall photo sleeves (depending on how big you want your pennants to be), the Banner Punch Board, your Fuse Tool and mat, FUSEables papers and embellishments. You will also need scissors and an adhesive runner.

First of all, grab your Banner Punch Board and make 4 little pennants (mine are 2.5 inches) in 4 different patterned FUSEables papers.

Then place one pennant in a waterfall photo sleeve, Fuse the smallest edge and use your scissors to trim all around (don’t forget to leave one inch margin to close it after). Insert some sequins inside and again use your Fuse to close the pennant. So easy!

And this is what you get when you make them all! Aren’t they so cute? You can insert sequins, sparkles, glitter… or any little embellishment you want if you are making bigger pennants! The possibilities are endless as long as you have a Fuse to make it!

I also used my Fuse Tool to place some embellishments all around my photo and at the top of my layout as well. I just love the « stitch » effect you have with the FUSEables pieces!

To place my 4 pennants on my layout, I simply added a FUSEables surface first, then I repeated the same process with the Fuse Tool to stick them on it.

And here is the final result with some extra details! I hope you had fun joining me today for this new project! Don’t hesitate to use your Fuse Tool and some waterfall photo sleeves to create extra embellishments for your projects just like I did, it’s so much fun and easy! You will love it!

Shaker Bookmarks

Hey there We R Memory Keeper friends and fans, Becki here. I’m so excited to share two adorable photo bookmarks with you that I created with the Photo Sleeve Fuse Tool and 4×6 waterfall sleeves.

Shaker Bookmarks by Becki Adams for We R Memory Keepers

When I started creating bookmarks, I thought I was just going to use patterned paper and sequins to fill the inside. Then I noticed these adorable photos on my desk. I knew they would make adorable bookmarks!

Shaker Bookmarks by Becki Adams for We R Memory Keepers

These bookmarks are SO easy to create with the Fuse tool. All you have to do is cut the patterned paper and photos to fit inside the bookmark, embellish the bookmarks (if desired) and add sequins.

Shaker Bookmarks by Becki Adams for We R Memory Keepers

The bookmarks I created have the same photo but the embellishments are slightly different. I used the Little by Little collection by Shimelle and American Crafts. I had to use the cute stack of books sticker and the “anything is possible when we’re together” sticker.

Shaker Bookmarks by Becki Adams for We R Memory Keepers

The gold sequins make these bookmarks a little bit more special. The sequins move when you shake the bookmark. I love that I could seal the sequins into the bookmark and not have to worry about them coming off or falling out. They’re sealed in tightly!

Shaker Bookmarks by Becki Adams for We R Memory Keepers

I LOVE how these bookmarks turned out. I’m sure the two little girls that will be using them will love them as well. I just might have to make another one for myself. Thank you for stopping by the We R Memory Keepers blog, happy crafting!

Photo Sleeve Fuse Mini Album

Hello everyone!  It’s Eva here showing you a mini album I made with the Photo Sleeve Fuse Tool that’s perfect for documenting this year.

Photo Sleeve Fuse Mini Album by Eva Pizarro for We R Memory Keepers

This year my goal is to document my daily life, because I know how easy it is get caught up with things to do and leave my project half done. So, I have prepared a small mini album with sleeves and all I have to do every month is print pictures and write my journaling.

For this project I am using the 4×6 waterfall sleeves, a Jen Hadfield DIY Home FUSEables Card kit and some paper from the same collection. I bound everything together with rings to be able to add pages easily.

Photo Sleeve Fuse Mini Album by Eva Pizarro for We R Memory Keepers

I used the photo sleeves to create shaker pages. The kit includes the sequins so everything coordinates perfectly! To decorate the sleeves I added a few Fuseables die cuts–no glue needed! Just run your Fuse over them and you are done!

Photo Sleeve Fuse Mini Album by Eva Pizarro for We R Memory Keepers

For each month I printed two 4×6 photo collages. If you did lots of things during that month you can add more pages!  Add embellishments over your photos with more Fuseables die cuts and add your journaling with your Typecast and some tags.

Photo Sleeve Fuse Mini Album by Eva Pizarro for We R Memory Keepers

For each month I did a cover with the name of the month. If you have lots of pages for each month you could add tabs with your Tab Punch Board!

Another way to add journaling is to run your entire page through your Typecast typewriter. I love this look!

Here you have two more pages from last month.

Frame Punch Board Mini Book

Hello WRMK fans! Soraya here with you today to share a creative minibook I made using the fun-tastic Frame Punch Board ! « Monaco » is the title of this minibook since living on the French Riviera I have the chance to go there often and last time we spent the day in Monaco, we had a fabulous moment walking in the old city near the Princely Palace, admiring the amazing panoramic view above the Mediterranean Sea and visiting the great oceanographic museum. It was a perfect day to be documented in a minibook !

So I will take you with me on a trip to Monaco, are you ready ? Let’s go !

Frame Punch Board Mini Book by Soraya Maes for We R Memory Keepers

monaco-minibook-by-soraya-maes-2

First of all, I created the structure of the album using the Trim & Score Board and strengthened the spine with another piece of paper that I stuck outside and inside (and for the covers as well).  This mini book measures  (5 ½ x 6 ¾ )

monaco-minibook-by-soraya-maes-3

To create the inner pages (in various sizes) I scored a border at about 1 inch on every left edge : this is where they are going to be stuck on the cover.

monaco-minibook-by-soraya-maes-4

Let’s make a shaker pocket frame on the cover! Grab your Frame Punch Board and trim a frame to fit the size of your photo. Follow the instructions in the manual, or follow the demo video you can find on the WRMK YouTube channel. Once you’ve done the frame, put your photo into a waterfall photo sleeve, add some sequins and sparkles inside. Then, use your Fuse Tool on the Fuse Mat to close the pocket on the back.

Here is a tip to place your title : use a ruler to set your thickers on it before placing them on your project!  Add some embellishments all around the frame and voilà! Love the touch of glitter on the photo !
