Ornament Treat Bags

Hello, We R friends! Laura here today to kick off Holiday Treats week. Often around the holidays I like to bake homemade goodies, but to be honest, I don’t always have time to create something from scratch. If I can’t bake something, my next go to treat is candy – in particular, anything nostalgic. For Christmas this means candy canes, peppermint Christmas nougats, peanut brittle, or hard candies.

Today, I am going to show you how to make these adorable ornament treat bags with only a few simple supplies like the goodie bag guide. These little bags would work great as party favors or even to pass out at a class party.

Start by choosing some pretty holiday papers. Mine are all from the DCWV All About Christmas Paper Stack. Use the Goodie Bag guide to create a treat bag that is 3 ½” wide.

Goodie Bag Guide by We R Memory Keepers

Before you assemble the bag, use the clear cut circle punch to cut a circle in the bottom half of the front of the bag. The clear cut punch works great for this because you can position it exactly where you want it. Assemble the bag using adhesive.

Create a 3” pouch using one of the 4” photo sleeve waterfall sleeves and your FUSE tool. Fill it with your favorite candy and then fuse the top closed.

Decorate the front of your treat bag with a ribbon, a small gold or silver rectangle, and a ribbon bow. I attached everything with my Sticky Thumb adhesive.

Place the fused candy bag inside the treat bag, fold over the top, and seal it with adhesive.

The candies make a perfect little ornament showing through on the front of the bag. You could also fill the ornament treat bag with a cookie, brownie, or any other homemade treat, as well!

Document Your Travels with a Pocket Page

Hi We R Memory Keepers fans! Soraya here to share a pocket page inspiration today using some fun tools like the Confetti Punch, the new USB Power Heat Tool and the Alphabet Punch Board. I will also play with the cute paper pad “No Prob Llama”.

Travel Pocket Page by Soraya Maes for We R Memory KeepersTravel Pocket Page by Soraya Maes for We R Memory Keepers

To make the title card, I used the Airbrush with a pink marker and a banner for a soft messy background. Then I created the letter E with the Alphabet Punch Board and decorated all around, using the E as the first letter of our destination: Eze Village.

The paper pad is so cute that I couldn’t help myself cutting out the designs. This is what I did with this set of cactus plants with my Detail Scissors. Then I placed it on another patterned paper, I love how it turned, it looks like a whole new card!

Let’s make a shaker pocket with a piece of vellum that I used as a journaling card. I chose vellum since it’s easy and fun to see through with all the confetti! The Typecast machine ads more authenticity to the pocket. I made all the fun confetti with the Confetti Punch, you should definitely try this one! The new USB Power Tool is awesome, I closed the pocket with it making a double line. Love the stitching effect !

Father’s Day Candy Tie Card

Hello We R Fans! Kimberly here today with a cute and yummy card for Father’s Day. After seeing quite a few candy ties online, I got to thinking that I had a pretty fantastic tool from We R Memory Keepers that would make creating a candy tie awfully easy. I sat down at the computer and drew out a tie template, while my We R Memory Keepers Fuse Photo Sleeve Tool heated up!

Father's Day Candy Tie Card by Kimberly Crawford for We R Memory Keepers

This tie was created to be filled with candy. It’s a fun treat to add to a special card for a special dad in your life.

Father's Day Candy Tie Card by Kimberly Crawford for We R Memory Keepers

After printing out the tie template, it was traced onto patterned paper. Because I was using Pink Paislee Wild Child 6×6 patterned paper, I had to trace it in two parts. Any other sized patterned paper will work perfectly.

Father's Day Candy Tie Card by Kimberly Crawford for We R Memory Keepers

After cutting out the tie image, the left-over paper was placed on a Fuse Mat, under a Fuse Clear Sheet. This was done to create a template to work from to create a candy holder.

fathers day candy tie card fuse Kimberly Crawford 4

By following along the inside of the template with the Fuse, the candy holder will fit perfectly. DO NOT seal the top of the tie yet, or there will not be an opening for the candy to be placed inside.

Before adding the candy, adhere the clear candy holder to the patterned paper tie. If done after it is filled, it makes it difficult to adhere the full candy holder to the paper, and subsequently, the card.

To help get the candy inside the pocket, a We R Memory Keepers Embossing Stylus was used to push the candy down inside. (Do not worry, it was washed before using.)

Once the candy holder was full, the clear part was placed onto the Fuse mat, and the patterned paper was tucked underneath the mat. Using the Fuse, the top was then sealed.

Pocket Page with the 3 Way Corner Punch

Hello We R Memory Keepers fans! Soraya here with you today for another fun project. I’m so excited to introduce you a new release: the 3 Way Corner Punch! I made this pocket page with this great tool and some others of my favorite products you already know: the Square Punch Board, the Mini Alphabet Punch Board, the Fuse Tool and the new Trim & Score Board! Here we go!

Pocket Page by Soraya Maes for We R Memory Keepers

First of all, I used the Square Punch Board to prepare the papers that I will need to create the letters. So I cut 4 rectangles (2.5 x 1.5 inch) in a row! So easy! (See my previous tutorial using the fabulous Square Punch Board.)

Square Punch Board by We R Memory Keepers

Then I grabbed my Mini Alphabet Punch Board and created the letters L, V, and E for the word LOVE. I followed the instructions that are in the guide book and shaped the letter V with my Stitch Happy scissors.

Mini Alphabet Punch Board by We R Memory Keepers

I decided to divide the first pocket in 4 parts in order to place the letters L, O, V and E, and create 4 shaker sleeves with my wonderful Fuse Tool. I started to place the letter V on the bottom left, add some sequins then fused it all. I repeated the process four times and I added at last a heart to replace the letter O. I just love how it turned!

Extra tip: use the grid on the Fuse mat to place your ruler. You will get nice straight line!

The Bloom Storage is absolutely perfect to gather my Valentine supplies, and it’s so beautiful too. I couldn’t resist to store my We R sequins on the top!

I divided the second pocket in 2 parts and fused it in the middle. I used the new Trim & Score Board to cut the paper triangles. Love this design as well!

With the new 3 Way Corner Punch, I rounded the corners of my 3 cards. We can say that this punch is genius since it offers you 3 different sizes: 4mm, 7mm and 10mm. For the big cards, I chose the large 10mm size.

I also rounded the top corners (7mm) of this cute diecut before sticking it to the card! You can even punch little pieces of embellishments with the 3 Way Corner Punch: it’s comfortable, light and easy to press!

Planner Pocket with the New Trim & Score Board

Hello everybody! Soraya here to share with you a fun and easy tutorial to make your own planner pockets using one of the new amazing releases of We R Memory Keepers that you could discover a few days ago at the Creativation show: the new Trim & Score Board !

DIY Planner Pocket by Soraya Maes for We R Memory Keepers

Trim and Score Board by We R Memory Keepers

To make this cute planner pocket I used a patterned paper from the FUSEables Collection. First, I used the Trim function to cut the paper. I could easily see how sturdy and stable the board is compared to the former one. I cut my paper at 7 – 3/8 inch x 6 – ¾ inch to fit in my mini Memory Planner.

Trim and Score Board by We R Memory Keepers

Then, I turned the blue guide on the other side to score my paper in the middle. This new system is on point since it prevents the paper from slipping on the board. And since I used a plastic paper, it was very useful to get it stable!

To create the folder look on the pocket, I scored the top and cut it with the Trimmer.

Time to Fuse! To close the edges of the pocket, I used my Fuse and its ruler as a guide: love how it turned out! And most of all, I love the ‘stitching’ effect you have after passing the tool on the plastic sheet!

Now that the pocket is done and decorated, I just need to place it in my planner. This is why my Planner Punch Board is never too far from me! Use the chart on the back to see what is the perfect alignment for your planner and punch it!

Card Week: Clear Cut Punch Halloween Card

Hello crafty friends! It’s Aly here today sharing some card inspiration. I love making handmade cards and sharing them with friends. I collect them in baskets and then pull one out whenever I have the need. It adds that extra special touch when I need to share something with a friend or loved one. I also love how helpful We R tools are for cards. They make the creative process faster and more fun!

Clear Cut Punch Halloween Card by Aly Dosdall for We R Memory Keepers

Check out this festive Halloween card I made using the Pink Paislee Spellcast collection, the new Clear Cut Circle Punch, and some of my other favorite tools!

Clear Cut Punch Halloween Card by Aly Dosdall for We R Memory Keepers

I started by trimming my card layers, and trimming and scoring my card base with the Dial Trimmer. It’s so convenient to have multiple blades in one tool!

Next I used the Circle Clear Cut Punch to create a shaker pocket window on my card. Then I punched out a 3×4 inch frame with the Frame Punch Board and placed it around the shaker pocket.

Clear Cut Punches and Frame Punch Board by We R Memory Keepers

I added some sequins and acrylic shapes to a 2×2 pocket from the FUSEables card kit, and then sealed it shut with the Photo Sleeve Fuse.

Photo Sleeve Fuse by We R Memory Keepers

I added a stitched border around the shaker window with my Stitch Happy and some Gold Metallic Thread. Tip: to sew the circle border I traced it lightly with a pencil first, and then sewed it by rotating the handwheel to control the speed.

Stitch Happy Sewing Machine by We R Memory Keepers

Finally, I assembled and embellished my card with a few stickers and die cuts. I tied some Gold Metallic Stitch Happy Thread around the sentiment to add emphasis.

What I love about the new Clear Cut Punches is that you can punch anywhere on your paper. I’m excited to try this technique with the other shape punches! Thanks for joining me today, and happy cardmaking friends!

Dial Trimmer Coupon Card

Hello everyone!  It’s Eva here showing you a coupon card made with the new Dial Trimmer and the Photo Sleeve Fuse Tool.

Dial Trimmer Coupon Card by Eva Pizarro for We R Memory Keepers

The new Dial Trimmer has 6 different tools in one but one I love the most is the Perforate Tool, I used this feature to create a coupon card for a teen girl made with the Girl Squad collection by our friends from Pebbles Inc.

To decorate the front of my card I cut several 6 x 6 papers with the Wave Tool from my Dial Trimmer and glued them to the front of the card.

Dial Trimmer by We R Memory Keepers

Next I used my Sprinkle Punch and decorated the inside of the card with matching colors and a shaker pocket created with a plastic sleeve and a FUSEables card base.

I marked my paper with 2.5 inch squares and typed my “coupons” with my Typecast Typewriter.  Because the paper is going to be folded like an accordion, I typed front and back left a space in the middle.

Using the Dial Trimmer with the Perforate Blade, create a perforated line every 2.5 inches.  Embellish the blank squares with paper and fold like an accordion.

To finish the front of the card use Stickers and Die Cuts from the same Girl Squad Collection.

The coupons are glued inside the card and everything is held together with some twine.

This was a Teen Girl card but you could modify this card for many occasions! The receiver just needs to slightly pull the paper and the coupon will tear off perfectly! Isn’t it cool!

I love to receive (and give) interactive cards, they are so much fun! Did you already think of someone to give a coupon card to?

Shaker Planner Dividers

Hello crafty friends! Soraya here to share with you a fun tutorial to make shaker dividers for your planner using the amazing Photo Sleeve Fuse Tool, some waterfall photo sleeves, the Planner Punch Board and lots of cute embellishments as sequins, stickers and sparkles.

Shaker Dividers by Soraya Maes for We R Memory Keepers

So here are the easy steps that I’m so excited to share! Only 5 steps to create them!

Step 1 : cut five strips of colorful paper (about 1.5 inch). They have to be of the same length of your waterfall photo sleeves (here it’s about the 4×6 sleeves). Fold them in two and place some double sided tape inside. Then stick each photo sleeve inside those papers.

Step 2 : place a cute sticker in the middle of each pocket  before using the fantastic Planner Punch Board to create the holes that will allow you to insert the dividers in your planner. So easy and fun to make!

Shaker Dividers by Soraya Maes for We R Memory Keepers

Step 3 : time to fill the pockets with the embellishments of your choice! I used funy pineapple and flamingo sequins along with flowers,  sparkles and leaves!

Shaker Dividers by Soraya Maes for We R Memory Keepers

Step 4 : Seal the sides of the photo sleeves using the Fuse Tool and the ruler as a guide. Make sure the dividers are the same size as the planner’s inner pages.

Shaker Dividers by Soraya Maes for We R Memory Keepers

Step 5 : Cut the excess of the sleeves with your scissors and voilà ! The shaker dividers are ready to be placed in the planner!
