Holiday Gift Idea: Christmas Frame with the Basic Tools

Hello We R Memory Keepers fans! Soraya here to share with you a holiday gift idea using the basic tools: the Layer Guides, the Tear Guides and the Circle Clear Cut Punch! Let’s make this pretty frame with Christmas ornaments!

Holiday Gift Frame by Soraya Maes for We R Memory Keepers

First of all I used the Tear Guides to create different borders on several patterned papers. Then I placed them on a piece of cardstock to make a colorful waterfall! This tool is so easy and fun to use! The water pen is very handy and useful to tear the paper out.

Time to use the amazing Circle Clear Cut Punch to create the future ornaments! I punched seven circles.

Now using my Layer Guides, I created two big frames (white and pink) to finalize this decor!

To give a realistic look to my ornaments, I glued some false snowballs in each of them! Love how it turned, it really feels like the holidays! I used some black thread to “hang” them, then I passed it through the hole of the white cardstock.

Scrapbook Page with the Marker Airbrush

Hello We R Memory Keepers fans! Soraya here to share with you a layout using one of the new releases: the Marker Air Brush! This tool is fantastic for adding colors in fun way. You can use any marker you want, and it also works with watercolor pens. This is what I did for my layout.  Your favorite embellishments can also become easy stencils with the Marker Airbrush!

Scrapbook Page with the Marker Airbrush by Soraya Maes for We R Memory Keepers

To make this layout I used the Frame Punch Board, the Marker AirBrush, watercolor pens and colorful papers from Maggie Holmes.

Scrapbook Page with the Marker Airbrush by Soraya Maes for We R Memory Keepers

First of all, I created five little frames using my Frame Punch Board. I love this tool so much ! You only have to cut squares and cards with the measurements you want and then punch them on this board to have a perfect border ! Those little frames will be perfect for showcasing the AirBrush elements.

Then I placed all the frames on a white background and aligned them in the right position. Once done, I selected several embellishments (wood veeners and diecuts) to fill the frames: they will become stencils for a day! I took off all of the frames so as not to spoil them during the process!

Now using my Marker Airbrush, I added the colors directly on the diecuts! And the magic happened: when I took them off, there was a beautiful splash of colors with all the shapes in white!

With a thin black pencil I traced all the edges of the shapes: it adds more contrast!

I replaced all the frames and started decorating all the parts of this layout with stickers, sequins and buttons. I also added more texture with some green twine for the ballons.

And here is the final layout! How cool is the Marker AirBrush? I can’t wait to use it on my next projects. I’m thinking about making lots of cards! What about you? What would you do first with it?

I hope you had fun joining me today, happy creating and until next time !

Thanksgiving Garland

Hello crafty people! Soraya here to share with you some garland inspiration for your Thanksgiving celebration using two of the new We R Memory Keepers releases: the Square Punch Board and the Tear Guides! Those tools are fantastic, you will love them!

Thanksgiving Banner by Soraya Maes for We R Memory Keepers

To make this banner, I chose a seasonal color combo: orange, green and kraft! First of all, I used the Mini Alphabet Punch Board to create the word THANKFUL. Each letter has to be made from a 1.5 x 2.5 inch rectangle so I moved the guides to the right dimensions on the Square Punch board and made all my little cards like this! So easy!

Now that the letters are done, let’s go ahead and make the garland! I wanted to add some texture like lace and burlap. I also wanted to create lots of fringe: the Tear Guides were perfect for this! Thanks to the water pen I could easily moisten the cardstock before tearing it. This is how I was able to create the fringe.

Let’s assemble the banner now! First, fold all the stripes in two and use the crop-a-dile to make a hole on the top of them.

Then, make other stripes with lace and burlap and repeat the hole process before passing them all on a twine:

Time to decorate! I used the gorgeous and oh so cute diecuts from the fall collection by our sister brand, Pebbles.

Halloween Journal with the Typecast

Hello everybody! Soraya here to share with you a special journal made like a minibook about Halloween and the Spooky Party we threw last year with my kiddos and all their friends! This journal is above all made of photos and decorations, but there is also some journaling that I wrote with the Typecast, the fantastic typewriter by We R Memory Keepers!

Halloween Typecast Journal by Soraya Maes for We R Memory Keepers

The journal itself is one of the Typecast notebooks you can find in the same collection, and they are amazing! They’re made of patterned papers, pockets, insert pages and white pages! I decorated the cover with thickers and diecuts from Pebbles! And for a spooky effect, I added some eyes in the O letters.

The Typecast is perfect for writing  journaling, adding titles and details. I love how the type is retro and authentic, it gives a very particular style to our wrtiting.

To complete this insert page, I added little elements like this cute butterfly that I attached thanks to the Staple Board.

Did you know that you could also use the Typecast to type on vellum? This is so fun and cool! I used a vellum with a foiled spider web design. This way, the patterned vellum is also decorating the journal!

You can also write titles and details and decorate directly on the small diecuts. This is how I added “Trick or Treat” on the mini donuts.

Ice Cream Banner with the Dial Trimmer

Hello We R Memory Keepers fans! Soraya here to share with you a yummy and fun tutorial using the new Dial Trimmer! Are you ready to create delicious ice cream cones? Here we go!

Ice Cream Banner by Soraya Maes for We R Memory Keepers

To make this yummy banner you will need some light and dark brown cardstock, white, mint and pink 12×12 foam sheets, one yellow cardstock for the title and some twine. You will also need the Alphabet Punch Board and the Sprinkle Punch (and colorful cardstock to use with them).

Dial Trimmer by We R Memory Keepers

To make the cones, start by tracing them on a light brown cardstock using the Supreme Ruler (the most comfortable ruler ever!!). I traced several rectangles before drawing the triangles inside them. Then grab your Dial Trimmer to cut them out with the Straight blade.

Then, in order to create the lines that pop out from the cones I used the Deckle blade and made lots of thin borders in the dark brown cardstock before placing them on the cones, just like this:

Dial Trimmer by We R Memory Keepers

Let’s make the ice cream scoops! I took the 12×12 adhesive square foam sheets from Bazzill to create them. Don’t hesitate to use a good sharp pair of scissors for the cut to be easy and smooth! You will need 3 different colors: mint, pink and white. Yummy!

Need more yumminess with the Dial Trimmer? Of course yes!! So use the Wave blade to cut the frosting borders! And with your scissors cut the wavy melting chocolate sauce!

Shaker Planner Dividers

Hello crafty friends! Soraya here to share with you a fun tutorial to make shaker dividers for your planner using the amazing Photo Sleeve Fuse Tool, some waterfall photo sleeves, the Planner Punch Board and lots of cute embellishments as sequins, stickers and sparkles.

Shaker Dividers by Soraya Maes for We R Memory Keepers

So here are the easy steps that I’m so excited to share! Only 5 steps to create them!

Step 1 : cut five strips of colorful paper (about 1.5 inch). They have to be of the same length of your waterfall photo sleeves (here it’s about the 4×6 sleeves). Fold them in two and place some double sided tape inside. Then stick each photo sleeve inside those papers.

Storage + Organization Tips with Soraya & Tessa

Hello We R friends, and thanks for joining us again today for some more storage and organization tips from our design team. Today you’ll hear from Soraya Maes and Tessa Buys who have both have some fabulous ways to keep their favorite We R goodies organized and easy to find. Here’s what Soraya has to say:

“Hello We R Memory Keepers fans! Soraya here to share with you some cool tips to organize a sewing station to store your Stitch Happy sewing machine and threads!”

“First, this “shelf” is actually a tea bag storage box that I hung on the wall (it should normally be placed on a table like a tray). Look at all these perfect little storage boxes!”

“Then, I sorted all the threads by color to make it easier and all the thinnest threads are placed in cute transparent containers. Using transparent boxes to display small pieces is the best!”

“My Stitch Happy sewing machine stands on the top of a storage tower so that I can organize more supplies in the drawers below!”

“What about you, how do you store your sewing supplies? I hope those tips will help you to get organized in your creative space!”

Design team member, Tessa, has some great storage ideas to share with us as well. Check it out below:

“My craft space is a work in progress, but I adore the look and usefulness of We R Memory Keepers’ Organization Gallery products!”

“If you’re going to decorate your space, you may as well make it functional. I fill my Hanging Clips Frame with bits and pieces that color coordinate with my space, as well as the occasional photo to scrap or craft store coupon.”

“The Magnetic Chalkboard Frame is great for checklists and holding notes with magnets.”

“The Hinged Display Frame is great for safely showing off recent layouts (even ones covered in dimensional embellishments like buttons!)”

We hope you’ve enjoyed the craft room storage tips today, and that you’ve been inspired by some of these fabulous ideas. Be sure to join us tomorrow for a special storage + organization roundup. Happy Crafting!
