DIY Dry Erase School Schedule

Hello everybody ! Soraya here today to share a cool back to school tutorial with you ! If you want your kids to be autonomous with their school life, let’s make an erasable timetable together ! You will need : the Marker Airbrush, the Journal Guide, the Magnetic Alphabet Stencils, the Supreme Ruler and some felt markers !

Back To School Erasable Timetable by Soraya Maes-1

On a white cardstock, trace 6 tables : 5 for each days of the week and 1for saturday and sunday. Use a black pencil to outline them well.

Back To School Erasable Timetable by Soraya Maes-2Back To School Erasable Timetable by Soraya Maes-3

Protect your cardstock using white papers and determinate the place where you want your title to be. Use the Marker Airbrush to spray some pink color on it. Then with a black marker, write down the title « My 2019-2020 Timetable ».

To write the days of the week, trace the letters with the Magnetic Alphabet Stencils on top of each table. The Marker Airbrush combined to the stencils is fantastic ! Shift the stencils a bit to the right and the bottom then trace the letters again with a black pencil. Love how it turned !

Add some colorful decoration with yellow and blue washi tapes. Create the shadows around the tables with the same colors and add some triangles around the title. Then fill the circles with hours and add some stickers as reminders at the bottom of the page.

Planner Divider with the Mini Laser Square

Hello everybody! Soraya here today to show you a fun tutorial to make your own summer divider for your planner using the absolutely cute Mini Laser Square! You will need some liquid inks, a water spray, a plastic bag, a brush pen and a thin marker, some washi tape and tne Planner Punch Board.

Planner Divider Mini Laser Square by Soraya Maes-1

First of all, trim a white cardstock according to the right dimension of your planner. Mine is the Mini Memory Planner by Heidi Swapp so my cardstock measures 17×9.5 cm. Use the Trim & Score Board for an easy cut. Then punch the holes with the Planner Punch Board refering to the chart of planners you have on the back of the punch.

On a plastic bag put some drops of liquid ink : yellow and pink. Spray some water to dilute the pigments then flip the bag onto the paper and spread the color. Use a heat gun to dry it well.

Time to play with Mini Laser Square! Place your cardstock on the tool and use some washi tape to secure the paper. Turn it on and place the laser where you want to write on the cardstock. With a black brush pen, write “july” on the line. So easy and so fun!

Best Of Summer Traveler’s Note Book

Hello everybody! Soraya here today to talk about summertime and all the good memories we like to document during our vacations. Here is a tutorial for you to create your own traveler notebook using the Book Binding Guide, the Word Punch Board and other yummy We R Memory Keepers tools!

Best of Summer Traveler's Notebook by Soraya Maes for We R Memory Keepers

First of all, let’s make the structure. Cut the cover of the notebook in a patterned paper measuring 19,7 x 25 cm. Score the middle of the paper with a spine of 1cm.

BestOfSummer by Soraya Maes-2We R Memory Keepers Trim and Score Board

To make the inserts, take 8 normal paper sheets measuring 24×19,7cm and fold them in the middle. Separate them in 2 inserts of 4 sheets. Use the Trim & Score Board for an easy control.

Best of Summer Traveler's Notebook by Soraya Maes for We R Memory KeepersBest of Summer Traveler's Notebook by Soraya Maes for We R Memory Keepers

Let’s bind the inserts in the TN ! Use the Book Binding tool to pierce the inserts in the middle of their spine. Then repeat the process for the cover by piercing 2 ranges of holes all along the score you previously folded.

With a pink thread and an needle, sew the inserts on the cover and tie a knot to secure the points. You have more details about the sewing style in the instruction book, but don’t worry these are very simple to make !

This TN needs a tassel ! So grab your Tassel Loom and create a beautiful pink pompom. Then use the Crop-A-Dile to place an eyelet on the top of the spine. This is by where we’ll attach the tassel.

We R Memory Keepers Tassel LoomWe R Memory Keepers Tassel LoomBest of Summer Traveler's Notebook by Soraya Maes for We R Memory Keepers

With the Word Punch Board (I love this tool so much!) create the word « summer » on a blue paper. Place an eyelet and a white paper on the back for the constrast. Add some pretty pearls on the tassel before attaching everything through the notebook spine.

And voilà ! Your handmade TN is finally done ! Look how it is colorful ! Just add some embellishments on the cover and prepare the inner pages for the fun !

How to Embellish a Scrapbook Page

Hello We R Memory Keepers fans! Soraya here today to share fun ideas to embellish your projects using the Mini Clear Cut Punches and the Mini Precision Press!

How to embellish a scrapbook page with Soraya Maes for We R Memory Keepers

First of all, let’s create beautiful dimensional flowers with the heart punch! I used the mini pattern swatches from Paige Taylor Evans’ Whimsical collection to make a bunch of colorful hearts. Thanks to the clear base of the punch I could easily center the heart on the tiny papers (so that I will be able to use them on another project)!  Then I folded every heart in two with a foam dot inside to keep the dimension.

On a strip of paper, I stamped several designs using my Mini Precision Press! This tool is not only super cute but it’s also very handy to stamp on small papers! So easy and so fun!

Now back to punching, but this time with the 1 Inch Star Punch. I decided to punch several stars under the stamps then use some foam dots to make them pop up from the layout!

Ombre Glitter Tumbler With The Spin It

Hello We R Memory Keepers fans! Soraya here today to share my first experience making a tumbler with the new Spin It turner and its accessories!

Ombre Glitter Tumbler with the Spin It by Soraya Maes for We R Memory Keepers

To make a tumbler you’ll need: the Spin It turner, spray glue, glitter, epoxy kit, gloves, popsicle sticks, wax paper to protect your surface and a cute vinyl design.

We R Memory Keepers Spin ItWe R Memory Keepers Spin It

The Spin It tool plugs into a USB power source making it easier to use!

We R Memory Keepers Spin It

For this first experience, I used a spray glue but you can also use Modge Podge with a brush. Make sure to tape off the bottom and top of the cup before spraying the glue.

Spin It Tumbler by Soraya Maes-5Spin It Tumbler by Soraya Maes-6

I wanted a fun blue ombré so I went for silver, soft blue and navy for the color combo. I started on top of the cup with the lightest one : silver. Then I put back the glitter into the bottle thanks to the glitter clean up tray. I continued with the soft blue and finally the navy. Just let the Spin It turn at the lowest speed to be sure to put glitter everywhere! Smooth the color transitions with your fingers.

When the glitter is set up and the glue is completely dry, prepare your epoxy resin with solution A and solution B. Don’t forget to wear gloves all along the epoxy process since it’s a chemical product. Also, be sure to read all the instructions before trying it! Keep your windows open unless you craft outside. A and B must have the same volume ratio before being mixed togerther.

Spin It Tumbler by Soraya Maes-12Spin It Tumbler by Soraya Maes-13

Gently pour the expoxy on the tumbler then use your hand (with gloves!) to spread the resin all over it. Once you’re done with it, remove the tape then let the tumbler on the Spin It turner for about 4 hours. And here is the beautiful result!

Ombre Glitter Tumbler with the Spin It by Soraya Maes for We R Memory KeepersOmbre Glitter Tumbler with the Spin It by Soraya Maes for We R Memory KeepersOmbre Glitter Tumbler with the Spin It by Soraya Maes for We R Memory Keepers

Let’s add some fun with a vinyl design from the Spin It range. I chose to use the llama design.

The vinyl is on a transfer paper that you directly apply on the tumbler then take it off like a rubon.

Once the vinyl is perfectly in place, repeat the epoxy process and let the Spin It turn for about 4 hours. Take off the tape before letting the epoxy dry. The tumbler needs to dry 24 hours to be completely finished.

Outer Space Party Decor with the Foil Quill

Hello We R Memory Keepers fans! Soraya here today to share a birthday party theme decor using the amazing Foil Quill! I’m so excited to show you another way of using this fantastic tool : with adhesive vinyl!

Outer Space Party Decor with the Foil Quill by Soraya Maes for We R Memory Keepers

First of all, you will need navy blue adhesive vinyl by DCWV and Champagne foil in the Foil Quill collection. Place the vinyl on your cutting mat and use the scrapper Basic Tool to flatten it. Then place the foil sheet on the vinyl, make sure it is completely flattened and stretched, then secure it down using the placement tape. Here is another tip: use the mini rotaty cutter to cut the foil!

Grab the A adaptator if you work on a Silhouette machine like me and screw the Standard Tip inside. Plug the tip to a power bank and wait five-ten minutes until it heats. Place the cutting mat in your Silhouette then you’re ready to launch the foiling and cutting process!

I used the pretty designs in one of the five USB drives and went with the moon, stars and planet! In my Silhouette Studio software, I first choose the designs then made the contours to cut them all.

Once you’re done with the box, create the opening drawer and the slot that will allow you to put in and pick up your love letters! I used the handy cutting tool and a metallic ruler. Place some adhesive tape all around the folds and stick one side at a time. Finish with the Mini Glue Gun to secure the bottom of the box.

You can use the stencils to create more shapes and words. For this card, I used the flower one, I love the dimension it gives to a simple white card! The title “GOALS” is made with the Word Punch Board and some washi tape. The Journal Guide helped me creating the tabs for the journaling.

2019 We R Design Team: Meet Laura, Rebecca, Soraya, and Stefanie!

Happy Friday! Today we’re sharing some more info about the second half of our design team, Laura Silva, Rebecca Luminarias, Soraya Maes, and Stefanie Ried. Scroll down to read their bios and see some of their favorite projects, plus a craft room peek!

Laura Silva

Laura Silva for We R Memory Keepers

Hello, We R friends! My name is Laura and I am so excited to be back again for another year on the We R Memory Keepers design team. You can find me sharing craft tutorials, organizing tips, and free printables over on my blog, Laura’s Crafty Life.  I live in northern Arizona with my husband and two school age kids. I have loved crafting since I was a little girl. My other favorite things are reading, watching Hallmark movies, and getting outside in nature.

My favorite project I made for the We R blog is the garland punch mobile. I love anything with a rainbow pattern. It was so easy to make, too!

Garland Punch Mobile by Laura Silva

I recently have been reorganizing my craft room. I love using craft carts to corral all my supplies. I have one set up with just We R Memory Keepers supplies.

We R Storage by Laura Silva 1

I can store most of my punch boards, the Happy Jig, and my small tools. I used some small storage containers that fit perfectly in the cart to corral all the little bits and pieces.

We R Storage by Laura Silva 2

Plus, I can roll it to wherever I am working, which I think is my favorite part!

Rebecca Luminarias

Rebecca Luminarias for We R Memory Keepers

I live in Southern California with my husband (Arvin) and 2 young children (Augustus & Anemone). My crafting obsession is gift wrap & tags; I love to create my own, but I also enjoy seeing how others turn a plain box into a work of art. I’m an introvert who craves quiet alone time, but I also enjoy being around close friends and my family. I have a vivid and very active imagination, which is a gift and a curse, inspiring both passionate creativity and relentless worry.  For the last 12 years, I’ve been pushing that imagination to focus more on the creative side, and it just might be working!  I’ve been on the We R team as of late 2018, and I’m looking forward to another exciting year with WRMK!

Here are some photos of one of my favorite projects:

Hello everyone! My name is Soraya Maes, I’m a 38 year-old-mom and wife living in the French Riviera, Southern France. I started scrapbooking in 2005 but it has always been a part of me since I started documenting my everyday life and special moments in notebooks when I was 11. This is probably why I love journaling so much! I love everything about DIY, baking and sewing costumes for my kids. Now I’m a lucky full-time scrapbooker and I love it! I’m also a craft author since I released my first book a few months ago. It was such a fabulous adventure!

I am Steffi and live with my daughter Anni and my husband in a small village in the south of Germany. It is located between Stuttgart and Munich. I started scrapbooking in 2012 when my daughter was born. I searched the internet for inspiration for a baby album. And so I came across scrapbooking.

I started with mini albums. That is also my great passion today. I love to record our journeys, birthdays, small and big moments in albums. In addition, I also like to make layouts. There I can live out my creative ideas. Beside scrapbooking I also like to make decorations. At home I am also creative together with my daughter. She has the passion of me. I have infected her. That is so beautiful.

I also teach Scrapbook Workshops. I like to meet other people who share the same passion for craft and scrapbooking.

I am very happy to be a part of this wonderful design team with all the talented ladies! I really like We R Memory Keepers products because they are often used and a great help in many creative things. That’s what I LOVE about it.
