Valentine’s Day Mailboxes

Hello lovely crafters! Soraya here today to share a tutorial to make adorable tiny mail boxes for Valentines Day. You’ll need to grab your 1-2-3 Punch Board, the Envelope Punch Board, the Trim & Score Board and some pretty Valentines papers! Let’s go!

Valentine's Day Mailboxes by Soraya Maes for We R Memory Keepers

First of all, create a rectangular box using the 1-2-3 Punch board (I love this tool so much!!) following the instructions on the guide.

We R Memory Keepers Trim and Score BoardValentines Mail Box by Soraya Maes-3We R Memory Keepers 123 Punch Board

Once you’re done with the box, create the opening drawer and the slot that will allow you to put in and pick up your love letters! I used the handy cutting tool and a metallic ruler. Place some adhesive tape all around the folds and stick one side at a time. Finish with the Mini Glue Gun to secure the bottom of the box.

Use the Clear Cut Punch to make a circle that you will split in two. This will be the top of the mail box.

With a strip of the same paper, give it the curve shape that you’ll stick on top like this:

Now add a lovely button or a pearl to create the drawer handle.

Repeat the same process for the other boxes and decorate them. I made 4 of them, one for each member of my family so that we can exchange sweet words and expressions of love.

Use the Mini Envelope Punch Board to make adorable tiny love letters. They are so cute!

Pocket Page with the Stitch Happy Pen

Hello happy crafters! Soraya here today to share a pocket page tutorial using the amazing Stitch Happy Pen that allows you to add texture and dimension to your projects. You can easily sew on paper, you will love it!

Follow the instructions you can find in the Stitch Happy Pen box to properly thread it and use the long needle. When this step is done, just pierce the paper and let the magic happen!

You can use the stencils to create more shapes and words. For this card, I used the flower one, I love the dimension it gives to a simple white card! The title “GOALS” is made with the Word Punch Board and some washi tape. The Journal Guide helped me creating the tabs for the journaling.

The Fuse Tool is one of my favorite tool and I can’t make a pocket page without it! I divided the yellow paper in 2 parts and sealed some sequins in the other part of the pocket.

For the last card, I only played with diecuts and stickers. This color combo really makes me happy!

2019 We R Design Team: Meet Laura, Rebecca, Soraya, and Stefanie!

Happy Friday! Today we’re sharing some more info about the second half of our design team, Laura Silva, Rebecca Luminarias, Soraya Maes, and Stefanie Ried. Scroll down to read their bios and see some of their favorite projects, plus a craft room peek!

Laura Silva

Laura Silva for We R Memory Keepers

Hello, We R friends! My name is Laura and I am so excited to be back again for another year on the We R Memory Keepers design team. You can find me sharing craft tutorials, organizing tips, and free printables over on my blog, Laura’s Crafty Life.  I live in northern Arizona with my husband and two school age kids. I have loved crafting since I was a little girl. My other favorite things are reading, watching Hallmark movies, and getting outside in nature.

My favorite project I made for the We R blog is the garland punch mobile. I love anything with a rainbow pattern. It was so easy to make, too!

Garland Punch Mobile by Laura Silva

I recently have been reorganizing my craft room. I love using craft carts to corral all my supplies. I have one set up with just We R Memory Keepers supplies.

We R Storage by Laura Silva 1

I can store most of my punch boards, the Happy Jig, and my small tools. I used some small storage containers that fit perfectly in the cart to corral all the little bits and pieces.

Plus, I can roll it to wherever I am working, which I think is my favorite part!

Rebecca Luminarias

Rebecca Luminarias for We R Memory Keepers

I live in Southern California with my husband (Arvin) and 2 young children (Augustus & Anemone). My crafting obsession is gift wrap & tags; I love to create my own, but I also enjoy seeing how others turn a plain box into a work of art. I’m an introvert who craves quiet alone time, but I also enjoy being around close friends and my family. I have a vivid and very active imagination, which is a gift and a curse, inspiring both passionate creativity and relentless worry.  For the last 12 years, I’ve been pushing that imagination to focus more on the creative side, and it just might be working!  I’ve been on the We R team as of late 2018, and I’m looking forward to another exciting year with WRMK!

Here are some photos of one of my favorite projects:

Soraya Maes for We R Memory Keepers

Hello everyone! My name is Soraya Maes, I’m a 38 year-old-mom and wife living in the French Riviera, Southern France. I started scrapbooking in 2005 but it has always been a part of me since I started documenting my everyday life and special moments in notebooks when I was 11. This is probably why I love journaling so much! I love everything about DIY, baking and sewing costumes for my kids. Now I’m a lucky full-time scrapbooker and I love it! I’m also a craft author since I released my first book a few months ago. It was such a fabulous adventure!

Here’s a photo of one of my favorite projects and a peek into my craft room!

I am Steffi and live with my daughter Anni and my husband in a small village in the south of Germany. It is located between Stuttgart and Munich. I started scrapbooking in 2012 when my daughter was born. I searched the internet for inspiration for a baby album. And so I came across scrapbooking.

I started with mini albums. That is also my great passion today. I love to record our journeys, birthdays, small and big moments in albums. In addition, I also like to make layouts. There I can live out my creative ideas. Beside scrapbooking I also like to make decorations. At home I am also creative together with my daughter. She has the passion of me. I have infected her. That is so beautiful.

I also teach Scrapbook Workshops. I like to meet other people who share the same passion for craft and scrapbooking.

I am very happy to be a part of this wonderful design team with all the talented ladies! I really like We R Memory Keepers products because they are often used and a great help in many creative things. That’s what I LOVE about it.

New Years Eve Party Decor

Hello We R fans! Soraya here today to share a decor inspiration for the New Year Eve party! Let’s make big tassels and pop it up with hot pink letters!

New Year's Eve Party Decor by Soraya Maes for We R Memory Keepers

The Tassel Loom is the perfect tool to create tassels (small, medium or large size) in a very easy way! I made several of them using pink and black/silver yarn. The color combo is girly and festive in a same time!

With a silver washi tape, I’ve decorated the top of each tassell. I love the bright detail it brings to them!

For the banner, I used the Alphabet Punch Board and a hot pink cardstock. I followed the instructions in the guide book to create the “Happy New Year” banner. And for the small papers (3×5 inches) I used my Trim & Score Board to easily cut them all.

Holiday Gift Mug with the Happy Jig

Hello happy crafters! Soraya here today to share a cute holiday gift idea using the amazing Happy Jig : a holiday mug! Yes, this is definitely the hot cocoa season so why not offer a special mug to your family and friends?! So let’s make it!

Holiday Gift Mug by Soraya Maes for We R Memory Keepers

First of all, use the various sizes of pegs of your Happy Jig to create the word “yum” (don’t forget to allow more lengh of wire on both edges). I chose to use the pink wire.

We R Memory Keepers Happy Jig

With the Trim & Score board, trim a large stripe of paper and with the Clear Cut Punch, create a pretty label.

Now for the last part: cut a beautiful heart with the Clear Cut Punch and add some gold washi tape on the mug for a festive look. The Happy Jig word comes now on the top of your decoration. I love how it turned out! And a small glittered tree is perfect for the final touch! Et voilà!

5 Treat Packaging Ideas with the DIY Party Board

Hello We R Memory Keepers fans! Soraya here to share some holiday treats to offer to your family and friends because Christmas is around the corner! It’s the most wonderful time of the year and at We R Memory Keepers we have the best tools to inspire you creating cute and fun treats!

Holiday Treats by Soraya Maes for We R Memory Keepers

To make these five boxes and pouches I used the amazing DIY Party Board. This board allows you to create so many different projects! We’ll be making a little basket, a treat pouch, a chocolate bar paper wrap, a French fry cone and a Christmas tree! So you’ll need patterned papers, scissors, felt, embellishments and the Circle Clear Cut Punch.

Holiday Treats by Soraya Maes for We R Memory Keepers

Santa’s basket:  use the DIY Party Board to create a big cup wrap with a 10×10 red patterned paper. Add a thin strip of paper to create the handle of the basket and cut some pieces of felt to create Santa’s belt and some snow all around the cup. Place some yummy chocolate in a plastic bag before putting them into the basket!

Treat pouch:  use a 9×9 patterned paper to create the pouch. Fill it with delicious sweets and add a bow to decorate it! You can add more glittering washi tape and foam stickers (like the tree).

The candy cone: use a 7×7 patterned paper to create a french fry cone and decorate it with a border of gold fringe and some silver stars! Now you just need to fill it with chocolate and candy canes. So cute!

The Christmas tree: use a 6×6 patterned paper to create the shape of a mini party hat that will turn into a Christmas tree! Add a star on top and some red baker’s twine all around the tree as a garland. Stick some pearls and use the Circle Clear Cut Punch to create a circle base that will be the chocolate holder! So fun to hide the chocolate inside the tree!

Holiday Cards with the Precision Press

Hello everybody! Soraya here today to share three holiday cards using the Precision Press Advanced!

Card 1 : #happyholidays

The Precision Press Advanced combined with the layered stamps allows you to create beautiful textured images. All you have to do is stamp one layer at a time with different color ink pads.

I used transparent ink for the last layer in order to heat emboss with gold powder.

Gratitude Journal with the Journal Studio

Hello We R Memory Keepers fans! Soraya here today to share some of my Gratitude Journal spreads using the fabulous new Journal Studio tools!

The Travel Workspace is so handy and smart that you can use it at home too, place your tools in its pockets and place your inserts under the elastics! My opening page is made with hand lettering. I added some washi tape thanks to the Washi Tape Keychain which contains samples of my favorite We R washi tape!

The mini trimmer is so cute! And it has the ideal size to trim my photos and other small pieces of paper I need for my Gratitude Journal.

When it comes to writing down my journaling, I love using different types and styles. This is why I hand lettered the title “my family” and used the new Magnetic Stencils to write the numbers from 1 to 4. So easy and fun!

The 3 Way Corner Punch is also very useful to fit your paper on the journal pages and to avoid the corners of the paper going beyond the notebook.

For this new spread, I wanted to represent all the sides of my job I’m thankful for, so I drew a happy wheel using the Journal Guide. I could note everything in and out of the circle and add a color chart.

Let’s decorate the journal itself with the Happy Jig. I followed the instruction book to create the word “thank” and add “ful” at the end. I was able to place this beautiful word directly on the elastic of the cover. I love how it turned!

Add Memorabilia to Your Planner with the Planner Punch Board

Hello We R Memory Keepers fans! Soraya here today to talk about one of the most amazing tools for planner addicts like me: the Planner Punch Board! You can add as many pages as you want, you can insert homemade dividers, photo pages, various documents… with only one tool! Let’s collect our memorabilia and let’s fill our planners with what makes us happy!

Memory Planner with the Planner Punch Board by Soraya Maes for We R Memory Keepers

I’m using the Heidi Swapp mini Memory Planner but as you can see, the Planner Punch board can be used with any planner! So smart! Just give a look at the chart (behind the tool) and find your planner reference to know exactly where you’ll need to place the little punches.

We R Memory Keepers Planner Punch BoardWe R Memory Keepers Trim & Score Board

Once you’re ok with the settings, just place your piece of paper (mine measures 17cm x 9cm) on the Planner Punch Board. You will need to line up the paper against the guide on the left edge. Then punch it. So easy and perfectly adapted to your planner!

We R Memory Keepers Planner Punch Board

To give a lovely finished look, I love using the Hole Reinforcer Punch. The kraft paper is the perfect color to contrast with the page and it’s a nice fall color too.

Collect your memories by adding your kids drawings into your planner! I love how my daughter draws horses, she’s always making art for me and I just can’t throw them away. So I decided to collect them by trimming the papers and using the Planner Punch Board to keep them forever!

Handmade Halloween Treat Bags

Hello everybody! Soraya here today to share fun ideas to make your own Halloween treat bags and decorate them using the Tassel Loom! The tassels will become a bat, a witch’s broom and a ghost !

DIY Halloween Treat Bags by Soraya Maes for We R Memory Keepers

First of all you will need to make 3 tassels out of twine and yarn. The bat and the ghost are made with the Stitch Happy threads and the witch broom is made with orange cotton yarn. The Tassel Loom is the perfect tool to create all the any size tassel!

We R Memory Keepers Tassel Loom

Let’s start with the witch broom tassel! Instead of using yarn to create a handle for it, I used a piece of brown wire (the one in the Happy Jig collection) and twisted it on the top. This is one spooky broom so I added two scary eyes on it and some spiders too!

DIY Halloween Treat Bags by Soraya Maes for We R Memory KeepersDIY Halloween Treat Bags by Soraya Maes for We R Memory Keepers

The tassel bat is made in black thread. I cut two wings in a black embossed cardstock with my scissors and glued them on the back before adding a “boo” brad on the front.

DIY Halloween Treat Bags by Soraya Maes for We R Memory KeepersDIY Halloween Treat Bags by Soraya Maes for We R Memory Keepers

The tassel ghost is my favorite one! I made a white tassel using thread at the smallest size the Tassel Loom could do. I added the eyes and the mouth with crystal dots. How fun!

DIY Halloween Treat Bags by Soraya Maes for We R Memory KeepersDIY Halloween Treat Bags by Soraya Maes for We R Memory Keepers

And here are the three tassels reunited!

DIY Halloween Treat Bags by Soraya Maes for We R Memory Keepers

Let’s make the bags now! The Fringe & Score Board helped me shape the carstock with perfect lines! Don’t forget to let some room in the middle using the small ruler.  There will have to be about 2 inches on both edges.

We R Memory Keepers Fringe and Score BoardWe R Memory Keepers Fringe and Score BoardWe R Memory Keepers Fringe and Score BoardDIY Halloween Treat Bags by Soraya Maes for We R Memory Keepers

Use the Mini Score Board to mark the fold on the paper (they will be the bottom of the bag).

Place the treat bag inside then glue each fringe together with the Mini Glue Gun. Then gather  all the fringes in one paper border like this:

Time to decorate each bag with the funny tassels! And voilà!
